Tori & Dean: Reality TV Royalty
Posted by Melissa Trebus Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Cable, Gossip

Last Tuesday night was a night that I had been anticipating for nine months, the season premiere of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood on Oxygen. I can honestly say that I feel like I have known Tori Spelling my whole life. I grew up with Donna Martin on 90210. I even thought she was hilarious as Violet on Saved By the Bell. Though I didn’t love So NoTORIous, I didn’t hate it either. She is just so… real. Last week’s season premiere episode caught us up on the lives of the McDermotts in 2009.
Little Liam is about to turn 2. Stella, the baby, is doing all the typical baby things. They have moved to yet another house. Dean is filming a television movie, and Tori is involved in about 720,000 projects, as usual. Something that is so great about this show is watching them struggle with things that normal, non-television, families deal with such as: Tori wanting to be a stay-at-home mom, but not having enough money; Dean wishing they could get their pre-parenting sex life back; and Liam being jealous of his new sister. This season promises us the drama of a motorcycle accident, a new book, an appearance on the new 90210, Tori dealing with Dean’s on-screen romance, and of course some drama with Tori’s infamous mother Candy.
Make sure you set your DVR for Tuesday nights, you can’t miss even one episode! While you are lying by the pool, check out Tori’s new book, Mommywood. I give it 4 stars!!!

Tori Spelling Returns to 90210
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Gossip, Video
Tori Spelling returned to the 90210 to film new episodes which will begin airing as early as next week. All these years later, and Aaron Spelling’s daughter found herself again acting opposite Jennie Garth - and on the same show where they first met, no less.
“At first, I was really nervous,” Tori Spelling said in a recent interview with ET, when asked about returning to work on the show. “It was like being the new kid at school.” But, Tori added, she soon remembered what it felt like to be Donna Martin.
Rumor has it that Spelling refused to work with fellow Beverly Hills alum Shannen Doherty, but apparently there’s no bad blood between her and Jennie Garth. “I thank my stars for her. She’s so much fun,” Garth said of working again with Spelling.
Tori’s first episode airs next Tuesday on the CW at 9 pm ET.

Tori Spelling to Fill Shannen Doherty Gap
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Gossip, Rumors
According to reports, Tori Spelling is finishing up talks to appear in a few episodes of 90210. Some say Spelling’s initial reluctance to rejoin the cast (Spelling reportedly backed out after agreeing to appear) stems from a dislike for Shannen Doherty.
But since the Brenda Walsh storyline is running dry and Shannen’s commitment to the show is coming to a close, Spelling may finally agree to assume the role of Donna Martin…again. Reps for the show have confirmed that Tori is finalizing her deal, meaning it’s only a matter of time before a Spelling is back on the 90210 set.

90210: No Longer a Spelling-Free Zip?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Gossip, Rumors
Tori Spelling is rumored to be in talks, again, with the CW hit 90210. According to gossip, the producers would love to get Spelling on set to reprise her role as good girl Donna Martin, perhaps even while former cast mate Jason Priestley is directing. With Jennie Garth and Shannon Doherty on and off the set, 90210 could soon be the site of an old home week for the actors.
Spelling and CW reps have remained mum on the subject, but allegedly the minds behind 90210 want to feature Donna toward the end of the season. They are currently talking, which is always a good sign.
Tori originally agreed to join the cast for a few episodes, but bowed out after giving birth to a new baby girl. Industry gossip says that Spelling wasn’t offered the same monetary amount as Doherty and Garth, which became the real reason Tori dropped the project.

90210: How Thin is Too Thin?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Gossip

For some reason, everyone is talking about the same thing today: the 90210 girls and how skinny they are. I admit, the first time I saw Shenae Grimes (she’s Annie), I felt sorry for the teens out there. When I was a very little girl watching Beverly Hills, 90210, it was hard enough looking at Kelly Taylor’s perfect smile and Donna Martin’s lovely figure and wondering how I could ever compete - but they, at least, looked as though they actually did eat the food at the Peach Pit, from time to time. The new crop of West Beverly High Schoolers look more like refugees in designer labels who just came from the salon, where some kind person gave them makeovers…but sadly, no snacks.

Tori Spelling Drops Out of 90210
Tori Spelling may be willing to run her own Bed & Breakfast. She might even be willing to sell her own gourmet fries. But she apparently won’t do anything for money.
Although she was signed on to star in CW’s version of 90210, a paycheck dispute has forced the Tori & Dean star to drop out completely. This revelation comes after Spelling said she would be temporarily sitting on the bench to recover from her second pregnancy.
Earlier today, Deadline Hollywood Daily claimed the actress was actually holding out because of less than equal treatment. When Tori learned that her $10,000-$20,000 per episode number fell far below what Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty were being offered (reportedly between $35,000-$50,000 per episode), she walked away.
Now the 35-year-old’s rep has confirmed to Us Magazine that Donna Martin won’t be seen anytime soon. “At this time, there are no plans for Tori to appear in the 90210 spinoff.”
I guess the record ratings Tori & Dean have been bringing to Oxygen aren’t really needed on the CW?

No Luke Perry for 90210
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Gossip
While little is known about the storylines we’ll see on 90210 next year, there’s one thing we definitely won’t be seeing: a Kelly/Dylan marriage.
Even though Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling are both welcoming a return to the famed zip code, Luke Perry says he’s not envisioning a trip to his old stomping grounds.
In a radio interview with Billy Bush, Perry said, “It’s just not something that I’ve thought about, to be honest. I don’t see it happening.” Well - I don’t think Spelling ever saw herself opening a Bed & Breakfast either, but money’s money.
But who knows? If Jason Priestley winds up directing a few episodes as rumored, Perry could have a change of heart later. Lord knows, he had more than his share of those when it came to Brenda and Kelly…

Tori Spelling Joins the 90210 Cast
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, News
It’s official. Finding decent work after 90210 is apparently quite hard.
Just weeks after Jennie Garth was confirmed for the CW spinoff comes word of another alum’s return. Realizing the Bed & Breakfast business was just not going to pay the bills, Tori Spelling has confirmed she will have a part in the new show. (According to the rumors, she begged to be included.)
Although Garth will have a recurring role as a West Beverly guidance counselor, Spelling (Donna Martin) will continue where she left off: in the fashion industry. Her character - who once co-owned a boutique with Kelly Taylor - will reportedly have “one of the coolest stores in Beverly Hills.”
While we still have a few months until 90210‘s fall premiere, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to see Tori Spelling this summer. The third installment of her Oxygen show - now titled Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood - will premiere on June 17.
