Getting Into Character: Rose McGowan on Nip/Tuck

Rose McGowan and Dylan Walsh on Nip/Tuck

Oh my, Katee Sackhoff—how you have changed.

Although the blonde Battlestar Galactica star originated the role of Dr. Teddy Rowe on , scheduling conflicts have a resulted in a new actress…and a new hair color.

When the FX program resumes next week, viewers will see (Charmed) taking over Sackhoff’s anesthesiology duties. The new Teddy Rowe will be around to get Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) fired up for a handful of episodes.

Season 6 of Nip/Tuck debuts Wednesday, Oct. 14 @ 10:00.

Lovin It/Hatin It: The Nip/Tuck Season Finale

Nip/TuckLet me start off by saying that plausibility has never been ‘s strong suit.  If it was, the series wouldn’t be so deliciously bad.  But after watching last night’s episode, I seriously had to say: “C’mon!”

I really loved the show’s move to Los Angeles and talked about the reinvigorated program a few months ago.  Unfortunately, Tuesday’s closer was way too over the top for me….and now I’m afraid I have to admit I hated it.

Sean McNamara and Christian Troy have taken us through a lot of strange storylines, so when things got ugly with pseudo-agent Colleen Rose this season, I grimaced but went along with it.  (As disgusting as the murder of the real agent was, I had to admit that ‘stuffing’ him was at least creative.)  Really, things weren’t that much different this year than when The Carver was still around.

But seriously….how could one family have so many problems?  And at the same time?

Nip/Tuck in LA: Did You Like The Move?

Nip/TuckWhen Sean and Christian made the move to LA at the end of last season, I was a bit worried.  After several successful years in Miami, would this be the time when officially jumped the shark?  But after watching the Season 5 premiere, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the reinvigorated series.  A change in location was exactly what the show - and the viewers - needed.

For those who didn’t get to watch last night’s episode (or completely disagree with me altogether), let me tell you what I loved about the debut.

Nip/Tuck Doctors Get More Dollars

Posted by Jill Tecler Categories: Prime Time, Cable, Nip/Tuck, Talent

Nick TuckLucky for Dr. Christian Troy and Dr. Sean McNamara that the villainous Carver’s reach was unable to get to their bank accounts.  Yesterday, cable network FX announced that in light of record ratings last season, series stars Julian McMahon and Dylan Walsh will both be awarded with substantial raises this year, bringing their total earnings for the upcoming fourth season to close to $1.8 million each.  While the specifics related to the dollar amount have not been confirmed, it’s believed that this increase is almost twice as much as each actor received for the third season, where memorable moments outside of the Carver included the return of Gina, a pregnant Mrs. Santa Claus, ax-wielding Mr. Alderman and a gorilla named Kiki.

DescriptionWeird, wild, and way over the top: say what you will about , the viewers love it. Just take a look around the Internet sometime to find blogs and message boards galore dedicated to this cult hit. Sure, the fans blog about their favorite show…but did you know the actors do, too? Willam Belli plays the transvestite, Cherry, who had a rather violent encounter with Matt. Belli recently blogged about his experiences on the hit show. The link and excerpt appears after the jump, to avoid accidental spoilage.

Nip/TuckAfter such a spectacular ending to ‘s last episode, this week’s started with such a letdown.  Whatever happened to Kit?  After all, she was only slashed by The Carver, how they could not address that at all?  I guess when you’re racked with debts, other people’s problems fall to the waste side.  Sean and Christian can’t afford to be doing pro bono work on backstabbing detectives.

Still reeling from the publicity backlash, McNamara/Troy is forced to deal with the financial health of their company. Unsure if they will survive past a few more months, Liz offers to help them out by turning in her resignation.  Sean and Christian try to assure her (and themselves) that they will be back up and running very soon.

Nip/Tuck:  Granville Trapp

Nip/TuckAlthough I’ve never been able to stomach surgery scenes, I’ve ironically been obsessed with anything related to plastic surgery.  Who are the freaks behind these stories?  Why does that socialite, Jocelyn Wildenstein, insist on looking like a cat?  Why does Melissa Rivers want to emulate her mother?  Why did those brothers on MTV actually think they could look like Brad Pitt?  And more importantly—why do I care?  This is why I love .  It gives this newcomer all I want - and more.  Some Nip/Tuck devotees may accuse me of jumping late onto the bandwagon, but I don’t care.  I’m hooked and I can’t stop staring.

Oooh—and did things get all nice and awkward in last week’s episode, or what?
