Sunday Ratings: Celebrity Apprentice Pales Against Housewives

Looks like the economy isn’t the only thing Donald Trump should be worrying about. Despite a solid debut, The Celebrity Apprentice was served a cold dose of reality this week. When pitted against Sunday night regulars (Desperate Housewives, Cold Case), the reality hit showed signs of weakening. NBC’s performance helped CBS win the viewers while ABC took the demos.

Nearly two weeks after the election, President-elect Barack Obama is still drawing record numbers. Last night’s interview on 60 Minutes attracted approximately 24.5 million, the show’s best numbers in 9 years. Regardless, the network did not do enough to overtake its competitors. CBS wound up winning the night with the viewers while tying ABC in the demos.

Sunday Ratings: No Improvement from CW’s Lineup

Last night, the CW got some good news and bad news. The bad news? Despite renting out its Sunday time slots to Media Rights Capital, the network saw no improvement in ratings. The good news? It really didn’t do much worse than before. By night’s end, CBS was a winner with the viewers while ABC wound up tied with NBC in the demos.
