Dancing Controversy: Winner Announced Before Finale Ends
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Prime Time, Reality, ABC, Dancing With The Stars, Gossip,
Bristol Palin wasn’t crowned the next winner of Dancing With the Stars. But if she was paying attention to Twitter, she would have found out well before the season finale was over.
Midway through the broadcast, Interscope sent out a tweet that congratulated Jennifer Grey on her victory … before the show had announced it.
The tweet was deleted moments later (so you won’t find it now), but it definitely went out prior to the show’s big announcement.
Hmmm.

We are now only three days away from the dramatic conclusion of True Blood.
Since I’m still trying to finish the first season, I’ve only watched this clip with the volume off. But it appears I have a lot to look forward to! (Sigh.)
The Season 2 finale airs this Sunday @ 9:00 on HBO.

Paris Hilton and Her New BFF
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Reality, Specials, MTV, Editorial,
MTV didn’t pull any punches when it came to the end of their Paris Hilton reality project. First, there was the hour-long reunion show, a spectacle replete with cat fighting and mini-games. Next, there was the drama-infused finale, where Paris was asked to choose a BFF in either Brittany or Vanessa. But wait - there’s more! After the very drawn-out conclusion, MTV aired a 30-minute special showing Hilton’s friends welcoming the new BFF into their midst.
It was two and one-half hours of Paris Hilton’s My New BFF TV. And I watched it all.

Jennifer Lopez Cancels on Project Runway Judging
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Bravo, Cable, News,
As they say, the show must go on.
The producers of Project Runway had planned to introduce another surprise judge for this season’s upcoming. And thanks to an interesting twist of fate, they now will.
As rumored, fashionista Jennifer Lopez had been scheduled to play guest judge for the show’s Fashion Week finale. (Her appearance would have followed the job done by Victoria Beckham in Season 4.) Unfortunately, a last-minute foot injury forced the style icon to bow out of today’s taping.
It’s not known whether the injury was somehow related to Lopez’ current triathlon training. It also wasn’t made clear why Jennifer couldn’t still judge while sitting down.
Fortunately for the producers, they didn’t have to go far to find a knowledgeable replacement. For the first time in five installments, mentor Tim Gunn will be given his chance to have a say in the final selection.
Now, really—wasn’t this the way it should have been anyway?

Even though Ugly Betty and Grey’s Anatomy have seen better scores for their finales (this year was their lowest ever), both shows got their best post-strike numbers. Grey’s even turned out the highest 18-49 performance for any scripted drama in nearly three months.

- A 90-minute Deal or No Deal (10.3 million, 2.5/8 in 18-49) was the winner of its hour.
- So You Think You Can Dance? (3.4/10 in 18-49) debuted to 8.6 million.
- Approximately 8.8 million saw Lindsay Lohan torment Ugly Betty (2.8/9).

The Desperate Housewives Season Finale
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, ABC, Desperate Housewives, Spoilers, Video,
Whether you liked it or not, Desperate Housewives‘s two-hour finale probably had you talking. Not only did we get the dirt on Katherine’s deep dark secret (personally, I found that one to be a bit of a disappointment), we also got a glimpse of the show’s future.
In case you didn’t bother watching yesterday’s closer, you can view the last few minutes - a.k.a. Season Five’s teaser - below:
What did you think of the reveals? Are you disappointed by the program’s new direction…or did Marc Cherry properly reinvigorate the series?
More Hours for Lost, Grey’s Anatomy
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, ABC, Grey’s Anatomy, Lost, News,
Although its been a painful few weeks, patient fans of Lost will be getting a nice bonus when the series returns with originals on April 24.
Believing they needed more time to tell their story, the producers asked ABC for an extra hour before the long summer break. Fortunately, not only did the network agree—it came up with a resolution that should please the viewers of two programs.
Lost was originally scheduled to air its one-hour finale on May 22nd, the same night Ugly Betty and Grey’s Anatomy are also slated to close. But the show’s creators didn’t want the new two-hour finale to be divvied up, so it was given a night to itself: May 29. That decision left a hole open at the 10 o’clock hour, which is why Grey‘s will also get an extra hour the week before.
Ahhhh. Don’t you love when things are a win-win for everyone?

May’s Big Sendoffs

It’s May, and that can only mean one thing: finales. The official TV season is ending so that summer’s reality programming can begin, but all the hot shows are determined to go out with a bang. Which show will have the most surprising finale of all? Which shows will only be coming back in re-runs? How will they all say good-bye? There’s only one way to find out – but you don’t have to watch them all.
After nine hilarious seasons, The King of Queens cast will say their final good-byes on Monday, May 14 at 9pm ET. The CBS show will get a big send-off to cap off its almost decade-long run, giving fans that chance to laugh at Kevin James and Jerry Stiller one last time. The dramatic hour-long finale will have plenty of tears but lots of laughter, too. Insiders say the show will have a happy ending. The real tragedy behind King of Queens going off the air is that Jerry Stiller will no longer have a sitcom gig – and that man is hysterical.
