Last night, Big Brother showed surprising strength given its age. (Then again, the fall season really hasn’t kicked in.) The reality show coupled with the always reliable CSI gave CBS a win with the viewers. Meanwhile, a new episode of The Moment of Truth helped FOX with the demos.

With the writers’ strike officially over, it’s now time for us to start anew. Let’s try to forget the repeats we’ve had to endure and focus on something else: the new Fall TV schedule!

There are many questions we all need to get answered. When will your favorite shows start?  What days are they now on?  Which DVR programming ‘conflicts’ will you have to resolve?  Will you need to buy another television???

Hopefully our detailed guide can assist you in the weeks to come.  We have compiled information from the five major networks and included the days, times and premiere dates for this season’s programs.

Denny Duquette Reappears on Grey’s Anatomy

Izzie and Denny on Grey's Anatomy

Yesterday, we told you that Katherine Heigl would remain a cast member of . Now we have a clue as to what she might be facing. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Izzie’s dead fiance, Denny Duquette, will be making some sort of guest appearance next season.

This wouldn’t be the first time Jeffrey Dean Morgan has returned to the series. He appeared in the show’s third year, though only in Meredith’s mind.

Could this be the “unbelievable story line” Stephen McPherson was referring to? Will Heigl be offed and then walk off into the light with her love? Find out when Grey’s returns on September 25.

2008 Primetime Emmy Nominations

60th primetime emmy awards

Bright and early this morning, Kristin Chenoweth and Neil Patrick Harris announced the nominations for the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards.

This year, we saw many first-timers named, a long list of cable acknowledgements (for pay and basic channels) and several 6-way races.

Topping the noms for drama programs was newcomer ; NBC’s lead all comedy programs. In total, HBO was the most-nominated network while ABC came in second.

This year’s ceremony will be held on Sept. 21 on ABC.

ABC News: Greys Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Private Practice

Even if Katherine Heigl was hoping to leave, it doesn’t sound like the network will be letting her go anytime soon.

Although the rising movie star irked many with her Emmy comments last month, ABC’s entertainment president Stephen McPherson says Heigl is “absolutely staying with the show.” This news comes days after rumors of a possible Izzie death started floating around. Word had it creator Shonda Rhimes was so irritated with the actress, she was considering all her options.
