After witnessing the insane vodka-induced, human trafficking dealings by a Russian mafia-run bath house (complete with Alexander McQueen) in the Bad Romance video, I had nearly forgotten about Lady Gaga’s scheduled appearance on Gossip Girl!

Vampire Diaries Desperate For Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift: From CMAs to Vampire Diaries? With the kind of ratings she’s scoring, it’s no wonder that Vampire Diaries executive producer Kevin Williamson wants Taylor Swift on his show.

“I’m desperate to have [Swift] come play a vampire. Wouldn’t she make an amazing Kirsten Dunst circa Interview With the Vampire type? Oh my god, I cannot tell you how hard I’m trying to get her—I would kill to have her on the show!” Williamson said.

I’m not sure how her anti-vampire boyfriend would like that idea very much, but hey, he said he was desperate.

No deal has been penned thus far; Williamson fears that she’s “too big for Vampire Diaries now.” I can’t say that I disagree, considering all those awards she’s won. Then again, let’s face the facts here—Lindsay Lohan is too big for that show.

Tina Fey Returns to Saturday Night Live

Ok, well kind of…

Tina Fey, SNL‘s former head writer and co-anchor of the ‘Weekend Update’, will be making a welcome return to her old stomping grounds.  But instead of taking the lead behind the scenes, the recent Golden Globe-winner will be front and center on the main stage.  On Feb. 23rd, the 30 Rock star will be the host of .

With or without Fey, the late-night program will undoubtedly receive a warm reception when it reboots next weekend.  Fans not only need something - anything - new to watch, they desperately need some political satire.  Stat.  It’ll be interesting to see how the variety show encapsulates almost four months of election news.

A week after Tina’s gig, another big-named guest will help bring laughter back to Saturday nights: Juno‘s .

Hillary Clinton, Paris Hilton Return to Letterman

Paris Hilton, David Letterman

In the next few days, the will be welcoming two ladies who - for two very different reasons - have a lot at stake.

This coming Monday, New York Senator will be making a sit-down appearance with the late night host.  Although visits from the former First Lady are not unusual (she did have a short bit on his return show in January), this particular date comes at a critical time for the presidential hopeful.  The in-studio chat will happen Feb. 4th…one day before the very important Super Tuesday.  Will she be able to sway anyone outside of New York?  Who knows?  But she’ll be sure to keep smiling while trying.  (And just for the record, Sen. also made a recent appearance on the show.  He read Dave’s nightly Top Ten list just last Thursday.)

After the uncomfortable experience had back in September, you’d think a reunion with Letterman is the last thing she’d want to do.  But camera time is camera time, and you know how much Hilton loves to be in front of one.  Oh - and she has like this movie to promote or something.  (Then again, she did have a perfume that got very little mention the last time she was there.)
