Blake Lively Wants Kate Moss on Gossip Girl

Posted by Kathleen Kane Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Gossip, Rumors

Blake Lively in Kate Moss for TopshopAt an In Style/Tiffany & Co. party this past weekend, Blake Lively revealed that she would love for fashion icon Kate Moss to make a cameo on Gossip Girl.

Dressed in a Kate Moss for Topshop piece herself, Blake was also celebrating her birthday at the event. When asked which guest star she’d want the most for her birthday, she replied, “Kate Moss! She actually was supposed to come on last year, but it ended up not working out. I love Kate Moss.”

Did you hear that, Kate?

If the supermodel were to bless the small screen with her stylish presence, doing so would be her first. I’m not too sure how I feel about that—I enjoy wearing Kate’s clothes, not watching her lips move while she slinks around a set.

Evan Rachel Wood Spills True Blood

Evan Rachel Wood as Queen Sophie-AnnAcross the Universe starlet Evan Rachel Wood is shaking things up over in Bon Temps on HBO’s hit series, True Blood (not that it needs any more shaking up), and she can’t wait to drop some hints!

While Wood is no stranger to television, there is no doubt that this will be her sexiest character yet. Of her 1,100 year-old Queen Sophie-Anne, Wood explains, “She’s not necessarily a lesbian. Her human partner is a girl, but I’m pretty sure she goes both ways [laughs]. I think vampires are like that in general.”

Though she didn’t divulge a name when asked about Bill and Eric, she confirms that she’ll be having a “steamy” scene with someone whom we wouldn’t expect.

Coming from someone who nabbed a guest starring role because she herself is a fan, Rachel couldn’t believe what was in store for the last two episodes…

Oprah News: Dr. Oz, 30 Rock

Dr. Mehmet OzBeing one of ‘s friends definitely has its benefits.

Since the talk show queen was instrumental in getting both Dr. Phil and their own shows, you knew it was just a matter of time before she moved on to her next pet project.  This time, she’ll be responsible for making us sick of Dr. Mehmet Oz.

Up until now, I’ve really liked the doctor.  The 47-year-old frequent contributor is very much like that McGraw guy; he tells it like it is.  And guests aren’t afraid to ask him their most embarrassing questions because he’s pleasantly non-judgmental.  (Remember when he hosted that males-only show solo?)  But as likable as the medical expert is, could we tolerate seeing him on a regular basis?

Word has it the latest talk show competitor will hit the airwaves come Fall 2009.  Start prepping your medical questions now.

Video of Paris Hilton on Earl

Question:  Does repeating the same two words over and over again qualify as a cameo?

I never thought I would hear myself say this, but Paris Hilton’s appearance on My Name is Earl last night made Britney Spears look like an Emmy-worthy actress.

Apparently it’s not possible - even for comatose patients - to envision a better acting performance from Paris.  (BTW - I’m referring to the speaking kind.)

Molly Shannon in Upcoming ‘Pushing Daisies’

Molly Shannon How great is ... really? While I’ve read plenty of conflicting reviews of the new series, it’s grabbed my attention and I can’t get enough. First off, it’s visually stunning, second the storyline is fun… and last, the cast. Wow. and (Ned and Chuck) are absolutely adorable. And is just as cute as a button—beyond belief cute. So, where was I? Oh yes, the equally adorable and cute will be joining the show in a guest role beginning later this month or in early December. I think Shannon will be a great addition, given her comedy chops. She’ll appear for three episodes, playing Dilly Balsam, a rival of Ned’s who coincidentally opens her sweets shop across the street from the Pie Hole (incidentally, the best pie shop name ever). Mike White, who wrote and directed Year of the Dog (which Shannon starred in), will also join Daisies, playing Dilly’s brother Billy. Really, how cute is that? You can also catch Molly Shannon in an upcoming movie, More of Me. The addition of Ms. Sally O’Malley… er,... Molly Shannon, is just one more great reason to catch Pushing Daisies.

Singer George Michael To Appear on ABC Show

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Prime Time, ABC

George MichaelAlmost 10 years after his infamous public bathroom arrest, George Michael will once again be appearing on American television sets—but this time, he won’t be the subject of a news report.  The singer is scheduled to appear in ABC’s mid-season drama, Eli Stone.

Stone stars (a.k.a. ex-husband #1) as a man who suffers hallucinations and believes he might be a prophet.  (Seeing visions of George Michael singing ‘Faith’ will do that to a guy.)  Although Michael was originally scheduled to be in the pilot only, the producers have since asked him to sing and act in two more episodes.

Interestingly enough, George told the BBC recently that he has been unsuccessful in giving up his marijuana habit.  I wonder what ABC’s parent company (Disney) will think about that news…

Megan Mullally Back on the Small Screen

Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, ABC

Megan Mullally Never fear, Megan Mullally fans—she’s coming back to the small screen! Don’t worry, her short lived talk show didn’t get renewed, but she will be making a guest appearance on Boston Legal. She’s only scheduled to appear on one episode, but this should give fans enough to hold them over until her next acting gig. She will appear later this season as an ex-girlfriend and former co-worker of Alan Shore (James Spader). No word yet on when it will air, but it’s certain that the dynamic between her, Shatner and Spader will be fantastic. And get this, ABC says that her character, Renata Hall, will make a grand entrance, “as she dashes down the courthouse hallway wearing a bloody wedding gown, carrying a bloody pair of scissors and proclaiming her innocence in the murder of her betrothed.” Classy. Mullally, of course is famous for playing Karen Walker on Will & Grace, for which she won two Emmys. She was also nominated five other times.
