On TV Envy: VIDEO: Rihanna Talks About Chris Brown to Diane Sawyer

SNL Lines Up Ryan Reynolds, Gerard Butler and Lady Gaga

Gerard ButlerMegan Fox may be an enticing reason for men to watch Saturday Night Live, but she won’t be the only appealing guest this season.

On October 3, the Green Lantern‘s Ryan Reynolds will visit the NBC program with musical performer Lady Gaga in tow. (Given the late hour, we can only imagine what “Poker Face” star will wear.)

Reynolds’ stint will be followed by an appearance from Kristen Wiig’s co-star Drew Barrymore on October 10. (Drew will be accompanied by singer Regina Spektor.) Then on October 17, 300 hunk Gerard Butler will take the stage with “She Wolf” Shakira serving as the hip-shaking musical act.

SNL‘s 35th season will kick off with Megan Fox on September 26. U2 will the ones rocking the house on that night.

Justin Timberlake to Host Saturday Night Live Again

Justin Timberlake on SNL

SNL may have brought on Abby Elliott and Michaela Watkins this year, but Justin Timberlake seems to be the one getting all the screen time.

Already this season, we’ve seen the performer appear as a backup dancer in Beyonce’s music video. He also cameoed as Andy Samberg’s boyfriend in a skit about comic strip character Cathy. Now Timberlake will be taking over the show. Again.

Later next month, Justin will be hitting the stage as the show’s guest host. That’s a gig he’s already done twice before. Since that May 9 show will also feature Ciara, I’m guessing Justin will be singing as well on “Love Sex Magic.”

Deal or No Deal’s President Bush Appearance

President BushGiven all the airtime the Bush family is being given on this week, you’d think they were either up for re-election or they were promoting a movie about bees.

On Tuesday, First Lady Laura Bush will not only make an appearance the Today show, she will be guest-hosting for an entire hour.  One of her two daughters, Jenna Bush, will also be making joining her mother for a quick hello.

But visits to the Peacock network will not be limited to just the ladies.  On Monday night, President George Bush will be making a primetime cameo on .  In a pre-taped message, Bush will cheer on an Army captain who is going for the million dollar prize.

So what will it be next?  A visit from the actual president on ?  Now that would be Must See TV.

Rainn Wilson to Host SNL

Rainn Wilson I just came across this online today—why am I always the last to know? Rainn Wilson, aka Dwight Schrute on The Office, will be hosting this weekend’s edition of Saturday Night Live. I’m thrilled. I’m ecstatic. Questions abound: Will there be a skit about The Office? Will Wilson be featured in a Digital Short (oh please?)? Will any of his Office co-workers make an appearance? I’m excited to see what he does—it’ll be fun to see him outside the word of Dwight Schrute. I know that SNL gets its fair share of criticisms, but I still think it’s worth tuning into, at least for the first half of the show. Even if there’s just one good sketch, it’s worth it. It’s always going to have ups and downs, but I’ve been watching since I was a kid and have no intention of giving up on it yet. Let’s hope that Lorne Michaels invites more Office cast members to host… come on, I would be so on board for John Krasinski (Jim) hosting. And while we’re suggesting dream SNL hosts, how about the creator of the british Office, Ricky Gervais? He would be a perfect match for SNL.
