Hilton Inheritance Drops to 7 Figures

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Reality, Gossip

Paris HiltonMiss Hilton, you must be pretty mad.

Hotel heiress and star is known for many things, from her little dog to her terrible fashion decisions (don’t forget the undies!), but the celebutante is perhaps best known for her money - or at least, the money she‘s going to get one day. It’s been common knowledge that Hilton will inherit many millions - the figure was estimated to be around $100 million - and her fascinating wealth is one of the reasons the public took such a shine to her. But Miss Hilton just got bumped down at least one tax bracket. Paris will now only inherit about $5 million (boo hoo) from grandfather , who has decided to bequeath 97% of his vast estate to charity.

Does this mean Miss Hilton will have to clip coupons? Don’t count on it.  Even without the other $95 million, Paris is still a Hilton.

Paris Hilton Keeps Her Word On Charity

Paris Hilton seems to be holding true to promises she made during and just after her incarceration. The heiress made an appearance at charity auction over the weekend to help raise funds. Or, at least, to be seen. The Life Rolls On event was complete with an auction, where Hilton won a $17,500 surfing lesson with Billauer and Adam Sandler. At the event, Hilton told reporters that she was focused on her next movie – a “surprise.” Paris further said she’d start shooting next month on the flick. Hilton has also recently visited a children’s hospital in an effort to continue with her charitable dedication.

Paris Not an Humanitarian Just Yet

Paris Hilton Paris Hilton has told all and sundry that she’s going to improve her life and do great things for the world…but not before she gets some vacay time. The heiress landed in Maui yesterday afternoon, wearing a terribly ill-fitting black wig and designer sunglasses as a “disguise” that really didn’t work at all. Following her well-watched interview with Larry King, the interviewer told E’s that Paris’s answers were too short, and Paris’s answer to his Bible question made him doubt Miss Hilton has read the tome at all, though she says it was one of her favorite jail pass-times. King also said he doesn’t believe Paris never experimented with drugs. More than three million tuned in to see Paris on Larry King’s show, big ratings for CNN. Missed it the first time? CNN will re-broadcast the Hilton interview today.

A Screaming Paris Is Sent Back to Jail

Paris Hilton Jail

For the record:  I really do hate doing stories on ...but having initially reported on her early release, I feel obligated to report on the ever-changing updates.  That, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the pictures of her crying today.

With only a comfortable 24 hours at home, Paris Hilton was sent screaming from court this morning as she was ordered back into jail.  Angered that Hilton had been transferred out of the facility, Judge Michael Sauer demanded that she reappear in court today.  Unlike her original trip to jail, Paris’ ride to the courthouse consisted of a comfy backseat in a police vehicle.

It is still not known what medical problems prompted her early release, but Sauer ordered that Paris serve out the rest of her 45-day sentence in lock-up.  More news likely to come…

The Battle of the Heiresses

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Reality, Gossip, News

Paris HiltonDiamond heiress Zeta Graff filed a suit against hotel chain heiress Paris Hilton back in July 2005, and the $10 million slander trial was supposed to start this month. Hilton’s claim that she is “emotionally distraught and traumatized” after receiving a court ruling that will send her to jail isn’t going over well with Graff. The slander trial has been postponed to August, and Graff thinks it’s too long to wait in light of the fact that Hilton has been seen participating in the hot LA club scene - even as recently as this past weekend. After hearing from psychiatrist Dr. Charles Sophy, who said that Paris was too upset to work on a defense against the slander proceedings, managed to put off the trial (originally scheduled to begin May 21) until August 22, after Hilton is released from jail.  The trial stems from a gossipy news item that surfaced in the Post years ago.
