Kanye West and former President George W. Bush (played by Jay Pharoah and Jason Sudeikis, respectively) stopped by SNL’s Weekend Update desk on Saturday to talk about their newfound friendship. The skit was inspired by the real Kanye West’s decision last week to apologize to Bush for suggesting he is racist.

Sudeikis performed ably as Bush, but he’s no Will Ferrell. Pharoah’s Kanye West was pretty good, but it was begging for an auto-tune moment. The skit was one of the more enjoyable of the episode, which starred Scarlett Johansson in the hosting position.

Denzel Washington, Mark Zuckerberg Get SNL Treatment


SNL‘s Andy Samberg channeled his inner geek to spoof Mark Zuckerberg Saturday night. Samberg delivered jokes about youth culture and Facebook, the central theme of the hit movie .

Samberg’s wasn’t the only impersonation of the night (it would hardly be SNL without several to choose from). A new cast member offered up an impression that was so spot-on, the audience didn’t know whether to laugh or just stare in awe. Follow the jump to view the video.

Amy Poehler, Bryan Cranston to Host Saturday Night Live

An Emmy nominee and two recent Emmy winners will help kick off 36th season of Saturday Night Live.

It was revealed last month that Glee star Jane Lynch would host the late-night program on October 9. Now we’re learning that Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) will take the stage on October 2 while SNL alum Amy Poehler will front the show in Week 1.

Singer Katy Perry will join the Parks and Recreation actress during the September 25 broadcast.
