Jennifer Aniston to Return to TV…As a Regular?

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Comedy, Prime Time, NBC, Rumors

Jennifer Aniston bares more than her bod in the new issue of GQ. The actress talks about her relationship with John Mayer, her current friendship with ex-hubby Brad Pitt and even her future career plans.

With her cover shot, Aniston easily puts to rest any lingering rumors that she might be carrying Mayer’s child - smooth abs are testament enough to her state. Aniston also denies the rumors in her interview, where she jokes about going to the Hamptons with Brad and Angie. Yes, it’s just a joke - her and the ex exchange polite phone calls and congratulations; they don’t share vacations.

But she did offer up a tantalizing hint that she may soon be back on the small screen - as a regular. Jennifer spoke highly of Tina Fey’s , saying “that to me, is an ideal job: great cast, New York City.” When asked directly about her future involvement with the show, Aniston played her cards close to vest. “We’ll see what I say if they come back and ask me - I wouldn’t say yes, I wouldn’t say no.”

So, it’s a definite maybe.

MONDAY (11/10)

  • Chuck (NBC, 8pm):  “Chuck chances upon his ex-flame (Jordana Brewster) and embellishes his status in life to impress her.” We’re talking about a girl who starred in D.E.B.S.. He shouldn’t try too hard.
  • Prison Break (FOX, 9pm):  “Gretchen gives Michael the rest of the bird book, but he suffers another seizure after deciphering it.” That pretty much sums up my feelings about bird books as well.
  • Samantha Who? (ABC, 9:30):  “Sam is sentenced to community service, where she meets a troubled young woman () and decides to help turn her life around.” Sam has now become the better-looking version of Earl Hickey.
  • 17 Kids and Counting (TLC, 10pm):  “Jinger takes her driving test; the family celebrates Michelle’s birthday and responds to viewer questions.” Uhh, I have a question. Jinger? Seriously?

Will There Be a Friends Movie?

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Prime Time, NBC, Gossip, News, Rumors

Friends cast

broke box office records. Get Smart had a first place finish. Why shouldn’t there be a Friends movie?

According to UK’s Daily Mail, a big-screen adaptation of the NBC hit has finally been greenlighted. Although a reunion seemed extremely unlikely when the comedy ended in 2004, the success of SATC has apparently given the show’s main six hope.

And while could definitely do without the paycheck, she is reportedly willing to play along. “Jennifer, Courteney and the rest of the cast are keen to reprise their roles, under the right circumstances,” said a source.

If the story is true, production on the Warner Bros. feature may begin within the next 18 months.  Could I be more excited?

  • Rules of Engagement (CBS, 9:30pm):  New episode.  “Adam and Jennifer go on a vacation with Jeff and Audrey, but first they have to endure a time share sales pitch.”  What do I get if I endure the show?

And now… well, for anyone that ever hoped to catch any of the women from Friends in a liplock, this news is for you. Not only will Aniston appear on the season finale of Dirt, but she will also be seen kissing star Courteney Cox Arquette. So, if you thought viewership for this freshman series was going to see an uptick from Aniston’s turn as a rival magazine editor, the upcoming kiss will have viewer numbers off of the chart. The episode, which airs on March 27th, will have Aniston’s character giving what a source calls a “goodbye peck.” Okay, so it’s not a heavy kissing scene, but the source tells People magazine, “But, yes, it’s on the lips.” Further, it has been confirmed that Aniston will be playing a lesbian, according to a USA Today article.

This appearance will mark Aniston’s first return to television since wrapping Friends in 2004. This time around, she will play rival magazine editor Tina Harrod. Jennifer Aniston May Appear on Cox Arquette’s ‘Dirt’

Jennifer Aniston While Courteney Cox Arquette and Jennifer Aniston have ruled out a Friends reunion, there is a chance that Aniston may appear on Cox Arquette’s new FX series, Dirt. The former Friends co-stars spoke out at the Television Critics Association Conference, saying of a Friends reunion, “It’s too hard to get everyone together. The writers are doing their thing, and I just can’t see it happening – not that I wouldn’t do it, because it would be fun.” On Dirt, Cox Arquette works as editor-in-chief at a tabloid magazine. While no firm plans have been made about Aniston’s appearance, the two have been in discussions about the type of character that Aniston would play on the series.
