Celebrity Double-Take: Eric vs. Leo
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Grey's Anatomy, Gossip
I realize I’m not the one who does the double takes, but I just today realized how identical Eric Dane (of Grey’s Anatomy) and Leonardo DiCaprio (of too many movies to list) seem to be. Doppelganger!

‘Dancing With The Stars’ Lineup Announced
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, ABC, Dancing With The Stars, Announcements
The official lineup for ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars was announced this morning on Good Morning America. And despite the ‘leaked’ list you might have heard about this week, here is the correct list as presented by Apolo Ohno, Carrie Ann Inaba and host Tom Bergeron:
- Melanie Brown (a.k.a. ‘Scary Spice’) - Baby momma of Eddie Murphy’s latest child.
- Sabrina Bryan - ‘Cheetah’ girl (I don’t want to know what that means).
- Jennie Garth - 90210 alum #
12 (if you include Ian Ziering from last season) - Josie Maran - The supermodel of the female contestants. I’m already voting against her.
- Marie Osmond - She’s a little bit country.
- Jane Seymour - Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman
- Helio Castroneves - He’s going to drive his partner all over the dance floor.
- Mark Cuban - If he doesn’t win, he’ll probably just buy the network.
- Cameron Mathison - A soap star from All My Children. As if ABC needed more publicity.
- Wayne Newton - Mr. Las Vegas will have to learn how to share a stage.
- Floyd Mayweather, Jr. - Apparently the producers felt all boxers could dance.
- Albert Reed - I hear he’s a model as well. I approve of this one.

The 2007 Academy Awards: Live Commentary
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Award Shows, Specials, ABC, Editorial, Features
Welcome to our live coverage of the 79th Annual Academy Awards! During our live-blog of the 2006 Oscars, I made what may now be considered an eerie prediction about Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe:
“For some reason, I keep getting this nagging feeling that their relationship will dissolve sometime soon, but that discussion is for another post.”
I’d like to say that I’m psychic (if so, that Oscars pool at work is all mine)...but I’m going to have to chalk it up to nagging intuition. What is that little voice inside me saying this year? While some races may have been locked up months ago (I’m talking to you, Helen Mirren), there will be a shocker this year. I can’t pinpoint the category, but I think it will be come riding in on a big yellow bus…
To find out who will be going hog-wild tonight during the Year of the Pig, stay tuned here for the live results!

Leonardo DiCaprio Pitches E-topia
The latest reality show premise comes courtesy of Leonardo DeCaprio—and promises to deliver some environmental messages. Currently in development, DiCaprio’s environmental series, E-topia serves up home makeovers of the eco-friendly variety. In this case, a team will reconstruct a town in America into a “‘green’ utopia of tomorrow.” While the reality series is not yet on any network’s plate, it is being shopped around. The makeover is no quickie solution, as it’s anticipated that each eco-friendly re-do will take months. Adding to the mix are a team of workers unfamiliar with working with “eco-idealists.” The idea came from executive producers Craig Piligian (Survivor) and Tom Mazza (Treasure Hunters), with DiCaprio, an environmental advocate, taking on the task as co-creator and executive producer. “We’re going to take a devastated community and help transform it as a prototype for the future,” Piligian said. “At the end of the day, we’re all going to have to change the way we live, the way we burn and use fuel ... We’re trying to show the country and the world by example, town by town by town, how we can change the way we live and fight global warming.”
