Tuesday Ratings: NCIS Has Its Best Night Ever

I just can’t wait to see what happens when American Idol finally comes around. Last night, NCIS - a show in its sixth season - had an evening to remember. The show not only saw its best demo performance in approximately a year, it had its largest audience ever. The Mark Harmon program went on to help CBS win with the the viewers while FOX was on top with the demos.

This Week on TV (4/7-4/13)

The Office

(You can view TV Envy’s Post-Strike Television Schedule here.)

MONDAY (4/7)

  • Today (NBC, 10am):  Kathie Lee Gifford returns to morning TV this week.  And I thought the New Kids were getting old.
  • Samantha Who? (ABC, 9:30pm):  New episode.  “Samantha has to move back into the apartment when she learns that she could be evicted for subletting it to Todd.”  The girlfriend you hate gets amnesia and you get to keep her apartment.  Todd has seriously been getting off easy so far.
  • The Bachelor (ABC, 10pm):  “It’s an afternoon of tennis and tea for six of the ladies.”  I’ve seen what an afternoon of women’s tennis can look like on The Real Housewives of NYC.  This won’t end pretty.
  • Medium (NBC, 10pm):  “Rosanna Arquette stars as an older seductress linked to the brutal murders of two younger men.”  Maybe it’s best her relationship with Paul McCartney fizzled out.

Tuesday Ratings:  Viewers No Longer Curious About ‘Cavemen’

ABC’s Cavemen may have seen decent ratings last week, but it appears the experiment’s novelty may have just worn out.  Meanwhile, House scored another ratings victory for FOX (followed by NBC, ABC, CBS and CW)

8pm

  • NBC’s (2.1/6 in 18-49) started off the hour with 6.7 million viewers; (6.6 million, 2.7/7 in 18-49) carried them from there.
  • (3.2 million, 1.5/4) brought an additional 500,000 viewers to the CW.

‘House’ Helps FOX Secure Tuesday Ratings Win

Last night saw the introduction of ABC’s new comedies (Cavemen, Carpoolers) and a shrunken Dancing With The Stars results show.  In the end, FOX took the evening followed by ABC, CBS, NBC and CW.

8pm
Description

  • (7.4 million viewers, 3.3/8 in 18-49 demo) showed an improvement from last week, though it didn’t have DWTS to contend with.

  • At 15.5 million, (3.3/10) won the viewership battle, but tied with Cavemen in the important demo.
