Tuesday Ratings: Americans Welcome the Visitors

Where were you when the visitors arrived last night? Yesterday’s highly-anticipated debut of V had the best 18-49 performance for any new series this season. Its audience numbers also came in right behind the premiere of NCIS: Los Angeles for freshman programs. Unfortunately, that one show couldn’t carry the whole network. CBS still won in the viewers and had a tight victory in the demos.

V's Morena Baccarin8pm

  • (19.4 million, 4.2/11 in 18-49) was the most-watched program last night.
  • (13.9 million, 5.0/13) had the best demos of the evening.
  • (9 million, 3.4/9) hit its lowest 18-49 mark this season.
  • (6.1 million, 2.4/6) lost 400,000.
  • (1.1/3) clocked in 2.1 million.

Colin Egglesfield on His Melrose Move

“I’ve had better days, to be quite honest,” Colin Egglesfield, the resident hot guy on Melrose Place, sat down recently to talk about his from the show - a decision he says took him by surprise.

The CW has claimed that it was part of the show’s plan all along to be rid of both Egglesfield and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, who will also be leaving . Egglesfield, however, tells a different story. “Obviously the ratings aren’t what they need or want them to be, so they’re [the network] going to try things to shake things up.”

Wednesday Ratings: TBL Not-So-Beautiful for the CW

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Ratings, Video

Looks like the new teen-friendly, high-society programming schedule at the CW isn’t paying off as well as expected. The network’s new and much-touted series is failing miserably in the ratings race.

The series gained only a 0.5 rating last night with its target 18-49 audience, while getting a rather dismal 1.05 million viewers total. What’s okay on cable just won’t do for a network that’s trying to be a major player in the TV game. Even this TBL news wouldn’t be so bad, but both Melrose Place and 90210 are performing as well.

Looks like the CW needs to keep re-vamping their schedule…or, just show more Vampire Diaries.
