Tuesday Ratings: Americans Welcome the Visitors
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, Talk Shows, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, Dancing With The Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, Ratings
Where were you when the visitors arrived last night? Yesterday’s highly-anticipated debut of V had the best 18-49 performance for any new series this season. Its audience numbers also came in right behind the premiere of NCIS: Los Angeles for freshman programs. Unfortunately, that one show couldn’t carry the whole network. CBS still won in the viewers and had a tight victory in the demos.
8pm
- NCIS (19.4 million, 4.2/11 in 18-49) was the most-watched program last night.
- V (13.9 million, 5.0/13) had the best demos of the evening.
- The Biggest Loser (9 million, 3.4/9) hit its lowest 18-49 mark this season.
- So You Think You Can Dance (6.1 million, 2.4/6) lost 400,000.
- 90210 (1.1/3) clocked in 2.1 million.

Jessica Simpson Angrily Twitters @Melrose

“who writes this crap?” Jessica Simpson recently demanded of her Twitter-reading audience, after noting that “CW catching up on MP.” That stands for Melrose Place, the show which recently fired Jess’ little sister Ashlee (and after they pimped her out as their main promo, too).
“i have had bad scripts to work with, but this?thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press.” Simpson continued to fire away.

Colin Egglesfield on His Melrose Move
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Gossip, Rumors, Spoilers, Video
“I’ve had better days, to be quite honest,” Colin Egglesfield, the resident hot guy on Melrose Place, sat down recently to talk about his departure from the show - a decision he says took him by surprise.
The CW has claimed that it was part of the show’s plan all along to be rid of both Egglesfield and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, who will also be leaving Melrose Place. Egglesfield, however, tells a different story. “Obviously the ratings aren’t what they need or want them to be, so they’re [the network] going to try things to shake things up.”

Melrose Place Dumps Simpson-Wentz, Egglesfield
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, News

Move over dead weight. it’s time to make room for Amanda Woodward.
By early next year, you can expect to see a number of changes on Melrose Place. It seems Laura Leighton won’t be the only cast member to make a quick exit from the freshman drama this season; the ratings-challenged program will soon say goodbye to another two characters.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producers Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer confirmed that Ashlee Simpson-Wentz (Violet Foster) and Colin Egglesfield (Auggie Kirkpatrick) will both exit the series in January. Their final appearances will come shortly after the murder mystery comes to a close.

Tuesday Ratings: FOX was Hot, NCIS was Hotter
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Food & Home, Prime Time, Reality, Talk Shows, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, Hell's Kitchen, Dancing With The Stars, Ratings
It took a two-hour Hell’s Kitchen finale to finally put a dent into CBS’ strong Tuesday night lineup. The FOX series helped the network win in the demos last night, even though NCIS broke the 20 million mark (again) in viewers yesterday. The reality show also managed to improve 19% from its recent May finale.
8pm
- NCIS (20.4 million, 4.5/12 in 18-49) had the best numbers all around.
- The Biggest Loser (3.4/9) weighed in at 9 million viewers.
- Approximately 8 million watched Dave Levey win the sixth season of Hell’s Kitchen (3.8/10).
- Shark Tank (1.6/4) ate 5.4 million up.
- 90210 (1.1/3) turned in 2.4 million.

Wednesday Ratings: TBL Not-So-Beautiful for the CW
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Ratings, Video
Looks like the new teen-friendly, high-society programming schedule at the CW isn’t paying off as well as expected. The network’s new and much-touted series The Beautiful Life: TBL is failing miserably in the ratings race.
The series gained only a 0.5 rating last night with its target 18-49 audience, while getting a rather dismal 1.05 million viewers total. What’s okay on cable just won’t do for a network that’s trying to be a major player in the TV game. Even this TBL news wouldn’t be so bad, but both Melrose Place and 90210 are performing under expectations as well.
Looks like the CW needs to keep re-vamping their schedule…or, just show more Vampire Diaries.

Some things simply get better with age. After six years on CBS, NCIS returned strong for its seventh. Last night’s premiere had its largest numbers to date. That impressive performance - followed by two solid debuts - gave the network wins in both the viewers and the demos.
8pm
- NCIS (20 million, 4.6/13 in 18-49) was up 2.3 million from last September.
- Dancing with the Stars 9 (15.2 million, 3.5/9) was off 3 million from one year ago.
- The Biggest Loser (7.5 million, 3.1/8) was down 2.2 million from the previous Tuesday.
