Glee: Big Moments, Big Changes

Glee’s latest episode had so much packed into it, our heads are still spinning. Burt Hummel (Mike O’Malley) and Carole Hudson (Romy Rosemont) had a big announcement for Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Finn (Cory Monteith) at the top of the episode: they’re getting married. Who else squealed with delight when Kurt announced, “you’re having a glee wedding!”?

Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) was also thinking of marriage. After exploring the wide world of Internet dating and finding only one match for her interests (extreme taxidermy, tantric yelling, poking the elderly with hidden pins), she began to mail out invitations…for her wedding to herself.

The video above shows Lynch singing “Ohio” with guest star Carol Burnett, who plays Sue’s Nazi-hunting mom. Rumor has it that Burnett suggested the song (which is from “Wonderful Town”) to Ryan Murphy. Sue’s mom is exactly what you’d expect - mean and tough as nails. We can’t wait to see more of her.

Finn’s mom wasn’t the only receiving a proposal. Another couple moved forward in their relationship this week …

Glee’s Cheesus Episode Gets Serious, Spiritual and Tearful

Tuesday night’s “Grilled Cheesus” episode of delivered up the usual laughs, gave us plenty of new Sue Sylvester quotations to bat around and filled millions of households with beautiful singing—but the show went a little deeper than its usual quips, jokes and jaw-dropping solos.

“Grilled Cheesus” tackled some truly heady subject matter: life, death and spirituality. It’s a lot to take in on a Tuesday.

In-between funny one-liners from Heather Morris as Brittany S. Pearce (“I got dropped one whole letter grade because I wrote it in crayon”) and lots of amusement at poor Finn’s expense, Glee explored different world religions - albeit shallowly. But what do you expect from an hour-long show that’s peppered with no less than seven different musical numbers? Keep reading to get the full recap - but only if you’ve seen the episode already!

Glee Cast, Crew React to Emmy Nods

“I was obviously thrilled for all of them,” Glee creator Ryan Murphy said of the show’s whopping 19 Emmy nominations, “but the one that I was just like, ‘holy s&^t, that is just great!’ was .”

Colfer, who plays Kurt Hummel on the series, scored a nod in the Best Supporting Actor category. Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Jon Cryer (Two And a Half Men) are also among the list of nominees.
