MONDAY (8/18)

  • I Want to Work for Diddy (VH1, 9pm):  “Two members from each team must go to Paris and convince a model that Diddy saw in a magazine to come back to NYC with them and pose for .” If you want to flatter a girl, don’t send one assistant - send four.
  • The Hills (MTV, 10pm): Season 4 premiere. I’m ashamed to say that I know what a ‘Lo’ is.
  • Paranormal State (A&E, 10pm):  “A family in Shrewsbury, Mass., claims to have been living with a spirit for 40 years, and all but one family member believe the spirit is malicious.” If they’ve managed to live with it for 40 years, how bad could this spirit possibly be?
  • Date My Ex: Jo & Slade (Bravo, 10pm):  “Juvenile tomfoolery back at he house irks Slade and may mean the expulsion of a suitor.” Had this been simply adult tomfoolery, things would have been fine.

Criss Angel Performs Live on A&E

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Specials, Cable, Video

Criss AngelAs David Blaine has proven over and over again, there’s nothing audiences love more than a live stunt.

Later this month, A&E’s will perform his own death-defying trick before a live television audience. In the one-hour event, Angel will be chained inside a 6-story office building that is set to implode. His goal is to reach the roof where an awaiting helicopter will take him to safety. Will the illusionist ever be able to walk around shirtless again? Oh the nail-biting drama!

That upcoming spectacle will be just a small part of Criss Angel: Mindfreak‘s fourth season. In total, the series will air 15 new episodes and 3 one-hour specials in this next round.

Mindfreak debuts July 23 @ 10pm. See a sneak preview of what’s to come after the jump.

Don’t Freak! There’s More Criss Angel to Come

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, Cable, Renewals

Criss Angel There are still six new episodes left in the third season of Criss Angel’s Mindfreak, the magical A&E show that’s unlike anything else on TV. Though this is obviously one of those series that falls decidedly more into the “Entertainment” category of “Arts & Entertainment,” it has been one of the more successful for the network. And for good reason: Criss Angel performs tricks that even rationale can’t seem to explain. In past seasons of the show, Criss has been run over by a car, blown up inside a box with explosive, and electrocuted. What could be possibly do in his new season to top the crazy tricks he’s already performed in the past? This is the same man, mind you, that levitated from rooftop to rooftop in glittering Las Vegas, right in the middle of broad daylight. Yet, Criss Angel promises the best is still yet to come.
