It was only natural this blonde hottie would hook up with a tow-headed hunk, and the marriage between Reese Witherspoon and seemed to be made in Hollywood. Then, the break up. But could this gorgeous pair of exes be working toward reconciliation? According to the gossip columnists, the two are attempting to work out their difficulties and have been dating in secret – being quite careful not to get caught in the act. Press reps for both camps did not comment on the possibility, which isn’t to say it doesn’t exist. Press reps can be terribly close-mouthed at times. So, if Reese really is working it out with Ryan…where does that leave her with Jake Gynllenhaal, the up-and-coming Hollywood hottie who’s been seen in her frequent company?

The Year’s Hottest Bachelor: Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey People magazine has named “Bachelor of the Year.” He’s pictured on the cover, wearing his trademark smile and little else (because if women are looking at McConaughey, they’d rather see him shirtless). The actor says he doesn’t follow a particular exercise regimen – perhaps good looks just come naturally to the Failure to Launch star? When it comes to the ladies, McConaughey is looking for a combination of “hotness and humor,” though he says any woman with a good sense of humor is hot. The 37-year-old isn’t just hot, he’s single. After his People interview, the world’s female comediennes will surely make a play for this Hollywood hunk.

What Went Wrong at the Oscars?

Oscars Though the 79th Annual Academy Awards were scheduled to take three hours (not including all the pre-coverage and after-coverage, of course), it actually ran almost one hour longer. What went wrong at the Oscars this year? Was it long-winded speeches (many of which were cut off by the music), unimportant backstage coverage, somewhat tedious tributes? The entire broadcast was just shy of the four-hour mark at three hours and fifty-two minutes, which many fans dutifully sat through just to hear which flick won Best Picture. Though host Ellen DeGeneres tried to liven the broadcast up with humor, a lot of it (even her banter) was tedious and seemed to take for ever. Without all the extras, the Academy Awards could run like clockwork, instead of putting audiences to sleep.
