Why was Scott MacIntyre Cut from American Idol Finale?

Scott MacIntyreBilly Joel

Days after the American Idol finale, there’s one question still lingers. (No - not whether Adam Lambert should do ballards or Broadway.) What really happened to Scott MacIntyre’s performance?

The answer to that mystery depends on who you believe: MacIntyre or Billy Joel’s camp.

According to a post on Scott’s MySpace page, his featured performance was cut due to an absent celebrity. The finalist had apparently been scheduled to play the piano opposite Matt Giraud in a “Tell Her About It” face-off. Unfortunately, a last-minute cancellation by Joel meant pulling the number altogether.

Neil Patrick Harris in How I Met Your Mother

If you were one of the many who saw last week’s , you might still be chuckling about several great moments from “The Naked Man” episode.

Those who don’t currently follow the program missed out on Barney’s conversation with Ted about the best nude man pose. (A nicely-toned is demonstrating the “Burt Reynolds” up above.) Fans of HIMYM also learned several of Lily’s 50 Reasons to Have Sex. (She was trying to prove to her husband, Marshall, that there were other reasons out there besides “love.”)

Now, thanks to that handy tool called MySpace, we’re getting our chance to see the full list compiled by the MacLaren’s Irish Pub crew. You can see the Top 50 after the jump.

Will Real Housewives’ Kim Zolciak Really Make an Album?

Anyone with a pair of ears - or any set of standards - knows one thing: Kim Zolciak can’t sing. Unfortunately, that’s something the delusional star of refuses to believe.

Despite her disastrous recording session with producer Dallas Austin - and her cringe-inducing lesson with a vocal coach (that can be seen above) - Zolciak insists her career is still a go. In an interview with Essence magazine, the woman with the “God-given talent” warned us to be on the lookout for her upcoming single.

My first song, “Tight Rope,” will be out the first week in January, but I’m not sure when the album will be coming out. [Dallas Austin] wrote and produced it. He originally sent me three but I fell in love with the beat and lyrics. The song is about walking a tight rope with somebody. It [speaks] to my personal life and my relationship and just life in general. It definitely applies to my life, but after seeing that footage on the show where it looks like I can’t sing! I guess it makes for good television but it looked awful to me. People will just have to wait for my album to see the deal.

Seth BinzerAndy Dick's mugshot

Although the show hasn’t finished filming yet, VH1’s already promises to be an interesting watch.

Last month, we told you about the cable channel’s plans to produce a spinoff of Celebrity Rehab. On the new program, several recovering addicts would live in the same home while trying to get their lives back together. Unfortunately, we’ve already learned of one guest who has experienced a setback. We’ve also heard rumors of a guest who probably hasn’t been rehabbed yet.

Paris Hilton on Paris

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Prime Time, Reality, MTV, Gossip

Paris Hilton‘s new reality show (in it, she’ll be searching for a new best friend) has not yet hit the small screen, but fans can keep up on the progress through her MySpace blog.

That is, you can keep up with it if you can get around the glaring spelling and grammatical errors - delivered in a sort of stream-of-consciousness fashion. Yet, amazingly, the heiress has penned a best-selling book. Hilton reports that shooting her show is “quite the experience, these people are amazing!” She adds: “Everyone of the contestants is very special in there own way,” and says all are “having the best time.”

According to Hilton’s blog, she took “some of the contestants” with her to Japan and Las Vegas. She cautions, however, “not everything is all fun and games.” She talks of “brutal” challenges and the fact that she doesn’t like the eliminations.

Paris added a note on her personal life, and actually threw in a plug for boyfriend Benji Madden’s blog. The show, by the way, will be coming to MTV in September.

MySpace’s Tila Tequila Gets Own Show

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Reality, MTV, Cable/Satellite

Tila TequilaI’ve admittedly not kept up with dusty MySpace account, and now I’m not sure if I’m hip enough to return.

—once again proving they’re the place to turn to for quality programming—will be introducing another dating/reality show this fall.  The ingenious twist?  This time around male and female contestants will be competing to date the same personTila Tequila.  For those oblivious (like I was) to this internet celebrity, the bisexual beauty is apparently ‘the most popular girl in the history of MySpace’.  Should I now feel sad that she’s not one of my ‘friends’?

Once her show A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila debuts on October 9th, Tila will work on becoming the most popular girl on MTV as well.  Take note, !

Paris Rehires Publicist

Paris Hilton A day after firing her publicist, Paris Hilton decided she could use his help after all—and rehired him! If you have been following the whole Paris drama (and frankly, I don’t have the time and energy to keep up), she was sentenced on Friday to 45 days in jail after violating her probation. Seems she didn’t understand that her license was suspended (from alcohol related reckless driving) and decided to drive anyway. Busted! Then, she canned her publicist, reportedly blaming him for the whole shakedown. Um, yeah. How about taking some responsibility, Paris? A case of he said/she said, only she said that her publicist, Elliot Mintz, told her she could drive despite the suspension. On Tuesday, Mintz told The Associated Press that he’s back to representing Hilton, so I guess their tiff was short lived (she’s much easier to forgive him than Nicole Richie, it seems). Now her MySpace page has a petition for her fans to sign in an effort to get a pardon from Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Her lawyers are also trying to appeal the decision. If all this falls through, can’t you just see it—The Simple Life: Behind Bars.
