Ryan Seacrest Performs on ‘American Idol’

Ryan Seacrest performed on American Idol last night.
The 39-year-old star - who has fronted the talent show since it began in 2002 - took to the stage on the show's finale for a surprise musical performance, which was introduced by program mentor Randy Jackson. Wearing a tuxedo, Ryan sang Richard Marx's classic ballad "Right Here Waiting" - which quickly turned into a duet when the curtains rose to reveal the crooner and the two performed together at the piano.
Speaking afterwards, Ryan jokingly told the audience, "I apologize. [That was my] moment in the sun."
Judge Harry Connick Jr. claimed the performance would trigger a new career direction for the host. "My prediction? You're going to have a record deal before this night is over," he joked. Ryan replied, "I hope not."

The Killers Think ‘The X Factor’ Will Be a Breeze

The Killers think it will be a breeze playing The X Factor final at London's Wembley Arena.
The "Runaways" hitmakers say their scariest moment of 2013 was headlining Wembley Stadium - so they're not panicking about playing next week's show. "That was the most nerve-wracking gig we've ever done. You've always got to make sure everyone is having a good time, so for me it's like flying a 747 up in the air and you've got to keep it there," Drummer Ronnie Vannucci told the Daily Star newspaper.
The band, who will join One Direction, Katy Perry, Elton John and Tom Odell at The X Factor next weekend, have been promoting their best of collection Direct Hits - despite saying they would have liked to wait longer before releasing the record.
"I don't want to see a perfect band when I go to a show, with dots of sweat on their shirt. I want to see them looking like they've been shaken by a silver-back gorilla," Ronnie, 37, said of performing.

‘X Factor’ Bosses Fear Miley Cyrus’ Upcoming Performance
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, Gossip, Rumors,
Miley Cyrus is making X Factor bosses nervous ahead of her performance on the show tomorrow.
The "Wrecking Ball" singer has reportedly been told to tone down her act for the family-friendly show after her controversial twerking at the MTV Video Music Awards with hitmaker Robin Thicke. "Miley seems to be on a mission to be as controversial as possible so everyone's a bit nervous. She's been told to tone it down for The X Factor. That said, we're not stupid," a source said.
Although big bosses don't want the performance to result in complaints, head judge Gary thinks 20-year-old should include her controversial rump-shaking move "It's music - she's a young girl. If that's the way she wants to express herself, fair enough. It's a tricky one because I remember Madonna when she brought her Sex book out and everyone was going crazy. That seemed more shocking. But, you know, there's an off button. I always say, if you don't want to watch it, turn it off," he said earlier in the week. "These singers are young, sexy girls - of course they are going to express themselves like that. But I don't let my kids watch it. I probably wouldn't let them watch anything like that, it's too sexual for them," he added.

Justin Timberlake hit back at Kanye West on Saturday Night Live.
The "Suit & Tie" singer - whose song with Jay-Z was slammed by the "All of the Lights" rapper in an expletive-laden diatribe last month - dismissed Kanye's insults while performing the song on the comedy sketch show last night and implied he is just jealous. The 32-year-old singer changed the lyrics of the song from "Aww, s**t so sick, got a hit and picked up a habit" to "my hit's so sick got rappers acting dramatic."

American Idol 10: Winner!
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Video,
American Idol’s 10th finale opened with all due pomp and circumstance. Ryan Seacrest wore a tuxedo, but black tie was optional for everyone else. More than 122 million votes, a record number, were counted to determine whether Lauren Alaina or Scotty McCreery would become the next American Idol.
The year’s Top 13 performed “Born This Way” to open the night’s festivities, each dressed in white like angels. If only they sounded like angels. To call the number bad would be too nice. But the show would improve vastly from here...

Top 3 week of American Idol is always pretty big (for them). Each contestant goes home for a big celebration, with full rock star treatment.
And even James Durbin, who was eliminated last week, went back home to a hero’s welcome. But only Haley Reinhart, Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina are left to compete for votes. And of the three, only two will be a part of the show’s big finale next week.
The show snagged a superstar for Top 3 week: Beyonce. There’s no need to expound on her credentials; they’re too evident. She definitely has the knowledge to help the Top 3.

American Idol 10: Top 7 Results

American Idol’s Thursday results show opened with an epic montage of the judges (Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson) falling over themselves to praise this year’s contestants. The clip ended with J-Lo crying “anybody could win!”
That’s the show’s current angle: there are no standouts, because all the singers as so sensational. It’s patently untrue, of course. Scotty McCreery has dominated his fellow contestants in Twitter followers all season long, and James Durbin is constantly singled out as the group’s best in the press.

The second Top 11 performance on American Idol began with an appropriate recap of last week’s shocking elimination, which culminated in the most dramatic judges’ save in show history. The save is now gone, and all 11 performers have been cut loose to stand on their own… if they can.
Ryan Seacrest spent some time speaking about last week’s “incredible moment” before introducing the singers for the evening and theme for the night. Elton John was the man of the evening, a rock icon who has rubbed elbows with royalty and inspired the likes of Lady Gaga, Madonna and others.
