Nicki Minaj: I Hope ‘Idol’ Contestants Flash Me

Nicki MinajNicki Minaj wants male contestants to flash her on American Idol. The fiery judge insists she will remember those who show off their bodies and was impressed when one eager contestant removed his shirt during the audition stage.

"[The best thing a contestant can do to impress me is] flash me. That would make me remember a person. One boy in particular took off his shirt and was trying to be all sexy," she said.

Nicki also credited her own dysfunctional childhood with giving her the drive to become a star. The "Starships" singer explained, "I dealt with a little bit of a dysfunctional household and my inspiration was if I can just make it out of this, I could help my family and that was my driving force and I've said it for my entire career, but it's the truth. Sometimes, if you attach your dreams to something bigger than you it's like it's impossible for you to ever stop, so my thing was always I've got to get my family out of this kind of life and at times when I thought about giving up, that's what kept me going."

American Idol premieres next week on Wednesday and Thursday at 8/7c on Fox.

Tina Fey Hopes for Drunk Celebrities

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Award Shows, Comedy, NBC, Gossip,

Amy Poehler and Tina FeyTina Fey hopes the celebrities at the Golden Globe Awards get drunk and embarrass themselves.

The 30 Rock star will co-host the ceremony with her friend Amy Poehler, but the duo believe alcohol will help make the night more entertaining and are hoping those attending will drink lots.

"Because it's such a fun kind of sloppy night, it's not really about the host giving any kind of big comedy performance. It's our job to keep things moving and also try to get the movie stars more liquored-up so that hopefully someone's boob will fall out of a dress. That's our main role. The luckiest we could get would be for something interesting and spontaneous to happen. We have a lot of spontaneous things planned," Tina said.

However, Parks and Recreation star Amy joked she is going on a pub-crawl before the ceremony on Sunday: "I'm going to pub-crawl it all the way to the venue and then try to take a two-hour blackout nap before we start, and then as soon as the show is over, I'm going to go on a 10-day juice cleanse."

Quote of the Day: Wendy Williams on Beyonce Documentary

Beyonce and Wendy Williams

"I am a Beyonce fan and I am going to be watching this documentary even if she doesn't introduce us to new stuff... I want to watch it. Fortunately one of the TVs in our kitchen has closed captioning so I can understand what she says -  because you know Beyonce can’t talk. Beyonce sounds like she has a fifth grade education... I just said, I'm a fan but lets call a spade a spade."

- Talk show host Wendy Williams anticipates Beyonce's upcoming HBO documentary, set to air Febuary 16, 2013.

Priscilla Presley Thinks ‘The Simpsons’ Should Be Banned

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Animation, Comedy, Prime Time, FOX, Gossip,

Priscilla PresleyPriscilla Presley thinks The Simpsons should be banned because "it's not good for kids." The 67-year-old actress is not a fan of the animated TV show, which sees Homer and his dysfunctional family get into numerous escapades, because she believes it's content does not promote good morals.

When asked what she would do if she was "Queen of Everything" in an interview with Stylist magazine, she said, "I'd have to ban The Simpsons. It's not good for people's moral compass. It's OK for adults as we can put it all together but it's not good for kids and I think we need to bring back something more family orientated like Leave It To Beaver that I used to watch when I was growing up."

Priscilla - who is playing the Wicked Queen in pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in London this month - is also worried about the decline of religion in Western society and is concerned about the amount of children being raised by divorced parents. The Naked Gun star believes kids with parents and step-parents are getting mixed moral messages: "We're in trouble. Churches are going, religious leaders are being attacked. I do think we need guidance because we're in trouble right now for not having any. It's the same with parents. When we're growing up it's our parents who we look to to give us guidance, the morals, the ethics, the standards. I find that because kids are being raised by multiple parents with the divorce rate as high as it is, everyone is thinking differently."

Steven Tyler: “I’m Not a Racist”

Nicki Minaj and Steven Tyler

Steven Tyler has hit back at Nicki Minaj for calling him a "racist."

The American Idol judge lashed out at the Aerosmith rocker - whom she replaced on the panel of the talent show - after he questioned her suitability and claimed she would've passed on legendary musician Bob Dylan if he auditioned, but Steven was shocked when Nicki took it as a racist insult. "It was a moment, I'm sorry if it was taken wrong. But I'm the furthest from a racist. I'm not sure how she got that from me saying 'I'm not sure she would have judged Bob Dylan.' I was just saying if Bob Dylan came on the show he would have been thrown off. Maybe I spoke out of turn but a racist I'm not," he said.

Nicki Minaj Thinks Mariah Carey Has Met Her Match

Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj thinks Mariah Carey has "met her match" in her.

The "Starships" singer has admitted there is more than one diva on the judging panel of American Idol following her explosive bust-up with the star last month, during which she hurled profanities at Mariah. "I think Mariah met her match this time, and I don't think she was expecting to meet her match. I'm super nervous and anxious for the first day on American Idol. I'm still second guessing my decision. I'm probably going to be a hundred times guessing this decision because I'm human. It's a big job," she revealed, speaking in her new reality show My Truth.

The Argo actor and director - who is tipped for Oscar glory next year - has revealed he can't bare to watch the hugely popular series starring Emmy-award winner Claire Danes because he was originally supposed to direct it but was forced to turn down the opportunity.
