FOX Sneaks in One Last Kitchen Nightmare

The second season of the American version of Kitchen Nightmares began last September, and evidently finished up just last night. Though the show disappeared from the FOX schedule on November 20, it returned - briefly - for one last hurrah.

And for those of you who missed the Kitchen Nightmares finale, it’ll no doubt be reappearing on FOX’s reality channel, so never fear. The episode was touted as the last of the second season and the show does not reappear on the schedule this year, but there could be one unaired episode on the season. Some listings show this episode as the last, rather than the one touted as the last.

Make sense? Even if it doesn’t, this odd reappearance and disappearance is confusing enough. But just the same, Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares have ended this season. There are many more awaiting him in the next, however. FOX is even now casting for the third season of the show, which bodes well for Ramsay fans.

The show may be over for the year, but the chef still has a lot more reality left in him. Gordon Ramsay will only be missing from the FOX line up for two weeks, as he’s slated to return in the fifth season of Hell’s Kitchen. The premiere will air January 29th, and it’s unlikely this show will experience the same programming gap.

• Saving Grace (TNT, 10pm):  Season finale
• Weeds (Showtime, 10pm):  Mary-Kate Olsen will begin a ten-episode arc tonight.

Fall 2007 TV Programming Schedule

Hell’s Kitchen Heats Up On June 4

FOX’s summer reality hit will return for a third season just as temperatures outside are starting to get hot. Can’t take the heat? Get into Hell’s Kitchen, where world-class chef Gordon Ramsay is serving up much more than fine cuisine. If you still haven’t discovered Hell’s Kitchen, you’re missing out. Think more angry Brits like Simon Cowell should be on TV? Want to see the dreams of young hopefuls shattered? Then you’ll love Hell’s Kitchen – hell hath no fire like chef Gordon. Last season alone, he mouthed off to a customer, called one competing chef a “donkey,” and stormed from the kitchen in a fit of pique. No-holds-barred, Ramsay tells twelve competing chefs exactly what he thinks of them and their cooking – and it’s all fabulous.
