Jennie Garth, Rob Estes Both Leaving 90210
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Gossip,
Now they know how Jim and Cindy Walsh felt.
Two of the 90210‘s “oldest” actors - Rob Estes and Jennie Garth - have just announced that they will be leaving the CW program. Estes, who plays West Beverly’s principal and father to Annie and Dixon, will depart after Season 2. It’s not known how much longer Garth, the high school’s counselor, will appear on the program.
Although the reasons for their exits are unclear, an insider told E! Online that their ages did play a factor. “They just don’t want the old people on the new show anymore,” a source started.

Jennie Garth to Stay with 90210
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Gossip, Rumors, Spoilers,
Recent rumors that suggest Jennie Garth is moving out of Beverly Hills have been proven false. The actress will continue to reprise her role as Kelly Taylor in the upcoming season of 90210.
To that effect, Garth has already inked a deal with the series to return for several episodes in Season 2. She’ll make her appearance in the third episode to help Harry (Rob Estes) deal with a mysterious situation surrounding daughter Annie (Shenae Grimes).

90210 Premiere: A Second Opinion
Okay - it’s been 12+ hours now since 90210, and I think I’ve had a proper amount of time to digest that premiere. And while my impressions of the show haven’t changed since last night night, it’s taken me a while to quickly summarize why I was left disappointed:
90210 wants to be what Gossip Girl already is.
After reading a list of reviews today - including the one written by my TV Envy colleague - I felt there was still room to offer an opposing opinion.
In general, most of the critics agreed that the show was much better than feared. I mean - should we have expected more from a show that didn’t offer any previews? No. But should we have expected more from a network that already offers quality catty fare? Yes.

Rob Estes Joins 90210
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, News,
Anyone paying close attention to 90210‘s recently revealed cast photo might have noticed someone missing. (Someone other than Jennie Garth.)
Up until now, the spinoff has been without the show’s central reason for existence: the patriarch! The West Beverly alum who moves his family from St. Louis to become his alma mater’s next principal. The guy heading this drama’s version of the Walshes.
While there wasn’t anyone from the original cast suitable to play this character, the producers were able to snag someone from the old FOX family. Rob Estes, a former Melrose Place star, has just been cast as Harry (Harry???) Mills. Estes will star alongside Lori Laughlin (his show wife) and play father to Shenae Grimes and Tristan Wilds.
CW has apparently worked very hard to flesh out this update with some decent eye candy. While I’ll always have very fond thoughts of them, Jim and Cindy Walsh never looked this good.
