This Week on TV (7/26-8/1)

MONDAY (7/26)
  • Intervention (A&E, 9pm):  “A woman battles an eating disorder that is combined with a drinking problem.” Those diet shakes can be hard to digest.
  • Rizzoli & Isles (TNT, 10pm):  “Jane’s mother () plays Cupid and arranges a surprise date for her daughter.” She insisted the guy was a good fella.
  • James May’s Toy Stories (BBC, 10pm):  “The host tries to build a record-breaking model-train track that’s 10 miles long and links two towns.” It’s a train even Ricky Stratton and his father would be envious of.

TV Talk: Lawsuit for Hayden Christensen, Paycheck for Don Johnson

Hayden Christensen-Hayden Christensen and his brother are suing USA Network for allegedly stealing their idea behind Royal Pains. I’d like to sue him for everything he did in Star Wars.

-Who knew Nash Bridges was worth millions? Former star Don Johnson just won $23.2 million in back profits from Rysher Entertainment Inc.

-Speaking of profit, that’s what Jeremy London will do as a result of his strange kidnapping/drugging story. The Mallrats star will now get time with Dr. Drew on Celebrity Rehab.

-A recovering Barbara Walters will make a video appearance this Monday on The View. The co-host, who had heart surgery in May, won’t return to her chair until September.

-Want to relive Alex Wong’s amazing routines (sniff) from So You Think You Can Dance? Now you can watch episodes online!

This Week on TV (6/14-6/20)

MONDAY (6/14)
  • Little People (TLC, 8pm):  “A county inspector pays a surprise visit to Roloff Farms and threatens to shut it down before the start of pumpkin season.” A reopening appears as likely as the Great Pumpkin’s arrival.
  • Cake Boss (TLC, 9:30pm):  “A cake shaped like a pink hearse is created.” It’s like they say, you’ll end up in what you eat.
  • The Real Housewives of New Jersey (Bravo, 10pm):  “It’s in the cards that Jacqueline will host a poker night, where Danielle’s ex-flame spills more scandalous gossip.” Thank goodness for staged sex tapes, otherwise these ladies would have nothing to talk about.

Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:

True Blood: Michael Steger briefly saw his ex-girlfriend date another woman on 90210. Now, he’s been cast as a gay prostitute on HBO’s hit program. Steger, who is right now only scheduled for a one-episode appearance in Season 3, will get picked up by the Vampire King of Mississippi. Steger could possibly have a recurring role in Season 4.

More to Love

(Make sure to check out TV Envy’s Programming Schedule.)

MONDAY (7/27)
  • The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABC Family, 8pm):  “Amy is jealous when she realizes Ben is going on a summer road trip, while she has to continue working and going to school.” I think her previous summer was eventful enough.
  • The Bachelorette (ABC, 8pm):  Season finale. “Jillian’s choice is down to Ed or Kiptyn in the season finale, taped or Hawaii’s Big Island, where she has outdoor dates with the two, who are also grilled by her family.” Let’s be real: A name like Kiptyn should never be paired with a name like Jillian.
  • Making His Band (MTV, 10pm):  Series premiere. “ begins his search for talented singers and musicians to back him up on an upcoming tour.” Behind every weak singer is a strong support system.
  • Dating in the Dark (ABC, 10pm):  “The singles look in their dates’ luggage before spending time with them in the darkroom.” It would be nice to know if anyone was packing heat before the lights went off.
