MTV to Showcase More Teen Pregnancy
In what I truly believe to be one of the worst reality series ideas ever, MTV showcases young moms-to-be. Not that 16 and Pregnant isn’t interesting, captivating and becoming highly popular. But it could also compel young women to get knocked up on purpose. The cable network appeals to a huge demographic of young teens…and now, all they have to do to become reality stars is have a baby. The first season of the series ends this week, but already MTV is looking ahead to the future with a second season.

90210 Finale Offers Fireworks
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Gossip, Video
Ethan admitted his feelings for Silver, Naomi got into a screaming match with Annie, hottie Liam got dragged off to Godonlyknowswhere…and the main character might’ve killed someone at the end of the episode. All in all, it was a pretty good first season finale for 90210.
To backtrack, the episode followed up on the Sophomore Prom (an event which does not exist at any high school I’ve ever known…but then who knows what the kids are doing these days). Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) decided to host the after party at her house, a decision which led to the culmination of several different story lines.

LOST Review: The Incident, Season 5 Finale
Posted by David Torres Categories: Prime Time, ABC, Lost
Well, the season finale of Lost is finally here and now the wait begins for the final season next year. So what happened? A lot! But before we get to that, I would like to rate this season finale up against previous Lost season finales. I wouldn’t say it was the best out of all the season finales we’ve seen from this show. I think “Through the Looking Glass,” which was the season finale of season three, is hands down the best the show has ever done. Still this episode was very good and gave viewers a major revelation that we’ve been wondering about for some time. By the end of this episode, the question all of us will be asking is where do we go from here? How will the story continue? How much has changed? Let the speculation begin, but first a more detailed review of season five’s two-part finale “The Incident.”
Spoilers…..........................................................

FX Announces Shield End Date
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Cable, FX, News

When this year began, followers of The Shield were still uncertain when their FX series would return. Thankfully, they at least now know when it will end.
Although Season 6 debuted last April, the show’s seventh - and final - season was pushed back to Fall 2008. Surprisingly, the scheduling decision had nothing to do with the writers’ strike. The network simply didn’t want the program to compete with with the Summer Olympics. (As if they couldn’t have aired repeats for a whole two weeks.)
The Emmy-nominated series, which still has 13 more episodes in the vault, has now been given a November 25th end date. While that may seem like a short stint, the 3-month run is actually in line with the previous seasons. And from what I hear, these final hours will be something to remember.

The Two Coreys: End of the Line?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Reality, Cable, Editorial

After two short seasons, Sunday night’s finale seemed to toll a death knell for the A&E series The Two Coreys. Is it all really over? I see much more reality TV in store for this pair.
Season two of the show displayed a marked difference from the more lighthearted fun of the first, which often made Corey Haim’s antics seem childish but never truly harmful. The season that was marked with drama and squabbling ended in much the same way, though on a somewhat somber note. This ambiguous ending leaves much more to be said on the future of the two…assuming there is one.

Betting on the Davids: American Idol Odds
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Gossip

The American Idol finale spectacular is a mere days away, but already the eyes of the world are turning to the two remaining contestants: David Archuleta and David Cook. This epic battle between rocker and balladeer has been the hoped-for season ending….but will it all shake out the way you think? Can’t decide which David has a better chance? Maybe the odds makers can help.
BodogSports shows that David Cook is the current betting favorite (he has 250 odds, which basically means that if you were to -only theoretically, mind you, as I’m not advocating gambling on this nor any other event- bet $250 on David you’d only win $100 back). Archuleta, meanwhile is the underdog with +170 odds (if you bet $100, you’d get back $170).
Bet365, another site, also shows that David Archuleta is no longer the odds-on Idol favorite. This British-based site does not take bets from American citizens, showing that the David-David conundrum has captivated the entire world.
Remember, these odds are by no means accurate portrayal of the voting wave which is sure to come after Tuesday’s performance episode. For all we know, David Cook could trip over the microphone stand and David Archuleta could forget every word to one of his songs. In other words, vote the way you want - blast the betting odds.

Clearing Up the Scrubs Confusion
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Prime Time, ABC, NBC, Scrubs, News

Those of you who watched last week’s episode of Scrubs might have walked away scratching your heads. Not only did the fairy tale storyline seem a bit anti-climactic (it was supposed to be a season finale, after all), the show included an appearance from Dr. Kelso. (Didn’t he already leave the hospital?)
In a recent message sent to all of his MySpace friends (it can be read after the jump), actor Zach Braff addressed the confusion and the comedy’s upcoming move to ABC.

Lindsay Lohan Finds Work on Ugly Betty
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Prime Time, ABC, Gossip, News
What was initially discussed last fall is now finally developing in time for sweeps. And as far as Lindsay Lohan‘s career is concerned, it probably couldn’t happen at a better time.
On May 22, the film actress will appear on ABC’s Ugly Betty. Lohan will play a former nasty classmate of Betty’s who has had seen her luck change in recent years. When the guest star role was originally conceived, Lindsay was going to be cast as a manager of a fast-food restaurant. It’s unclear whether that is is still the plan for her character.
In addition to the season finale, Lohan will receive checks for five more Ugly Betty appearances next fall. Let’s just hope all this work will keep her out of the clubs.

Project Runway Season 4: Chris March Eliminated By A Hair, Literally
Posted by Jacci Lewis Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Bravo, Cable, Editorial, News
An innovative use of safety pins and hair, yes human hair, just weren’t enough to land San Francisco costume designer Chris March the third and final spot in the Project Runway: Season 4 final runway show.
The 44-year-old March was up against 31-year-old Los Angeles designer Rami Kashou in a sort of semi-final walk-off before the last official runway show, the big one at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City’s Bryant Park. Freelance fashion wunderkind Christian Soriano and Ralph Lauren illustrator Jillian Lewis already secured their spots during the “Art to Fashion” challenge in episode 11.
Tonight’s episode began with a rundown of the final challenge and a reminder of what’s at stake if they win. The final challenge had the designers creating a 12-piece collection. They got $8000 for materials and 5 months to complete their garments. The winner of Project Runway: Season 4 gets a coveted spread in Elle magazine, $100,000, a Saturn Astra and a chance to sell their line on Bluefly.com.

Project Runway Season 4 Reunion: Christian Named Fan Favorite
Posted by Jacci Lewis Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Bravo, Editorial
Apparently it pays to remind people over and over that ‘you’re fierce and kind of a big deal’. That strategy netted Project Runway:Season 4 contestant Christian Siriano a cool $10,000. Siriano was voted this season’s “Fan Favorite” by a landslide. The results were unveiled during tonight’s Project Runway: Season 4 reunion show.
This season of the show featured some incredibly talented and professional designers. While it didn’t have the same sexy mix of volatile characters (see Wendy Pepper in season 1 or Santino Rice in season 2), the clothes themselves were fascinating as was watching the process that these talented designers used to come up with them. Not surprisingly, some of the designers have become role models for young children and even favorites of celebrities. Kit talked about how young girls are emailing her scans of their designs to ask for advice. She says she loves being a positive influence. Lovable kook Elisa also said she loves the message she seems to be sending young girls that it is okay to be different. Sweet P, who was eliminated in the last episode, said she’s heard from celebrities like Jack Black and Catherine Keener that she was their favorite on the show.
