On VIP Breakdown: Are Glee’s Finn and Rachel Dating in Real Life?

Evan Rachel Wood Spills True Blood

Evan Rachel Wood as Queen Sophie-AnnAcross the Universe starlet Evan Rachel Wood is shaking things up over in Bon Temps on HBO’s hit series, True Blood (not that it needs any more shaking up), and she can’t wait to drop some hints!

While Wood is no stranger to television, there is no doubt that this will be her sexiest character yet. Of her 1,100 year-old Queen Sophie-Anne, Wood explains, “She’s not necessarily a lesbian. Her human partner is a girl, but I’m pretty sure she goes both ways [laughs]. I think vampires are like that in general.”

Though she didn’t divulge a name when asked about Bill and Eric, she confirms that she’ll be having a “steamy” scene with someone whom we wouldn’t expect.

Coming from someone who nabbed a guest starring role because she herself is a fan, Rachel couldn’t believe what was in store for the last two episodes…

A Final Bow for the Gladiators?

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Prime Time, Reality, NBC, Editorial

Titan

In my estimation, has always been something of a ride-it-till-the-wheels-fall-off kind of network. Habitually in fourth place behind all the other major networks, the channel is always striving for a first-place hit. For a brief moment in the winter of the writers’ strike, NBC found television gold in the form of a re-make.

More than twelve million tuned in for the January premiere of the first season of the re-vamped and NBC suddenly had a hit on its hands. Instead of playing it cool or playing it safe, the network went full steam ahead into a second season. Way back in April, before season two’s May premiere, NBC announced tentative plans to bring the show back in the summer of 2009 for yet a third season.

But now the second season of the show has arrived, has been aired and has ended. Will NBC still bring this brutal physical reality competition back for another turn in the TV spotlight?

‘Prison Break’ Premiere A Ratings Disappointment

Prison Break Who says the third time’s a charm?

At 7.9 million viewers, Monday night’s premiere of was a ratings dud.  Season Three’s opener was down approximately 2 million as compared to last year.  Even reruns of and fared better in the same time slot last night.  Unfortunately, this slow start doesn’t bode well for the rest of Prison’s season.  Come next Monday, the inmates will be facing stiff competition from and a new episode of Mother.

But should the execs at Fox really be surprised by the low turnout?  I think it’s safe to say they underestimated the fans who wanted more than rehash.  This time it’s Lincoln trying to save Michael?  What a twist!  Half the cast is locked up in the same prison?  Convenient!  Pretty boy Michael Scofield hasn’t been turned into someone’s b**** in that hellish Panamanian prison? C’mon!!!!  Does anyone honestly believe he could survive with that steely glare alone?  I was already miffed when I heard Dr. Sara Tancredi would be absent from the show; last night’s lackluster episode has just compounded my disappointment.

Granted, this show has never been based on plausibility…but it was once based on creativity.  Just knowing the series could be extended for another two or three years is already tiring me out.  And since the writers are constrained by the show’s title—who will eventually end up in prison next?  Lincoln’s son?

Scoop On FOX’s ‘Prison Break’

Sara TancrediRemember believing was going to be a single-season show?  Ever wondered how long the jailbirds could keep running?  Still hoping the series can eventually finish on a satisfying and climactic note?

Well it may put a damper on your Season Three viewing enjoyment to know an end is probably nowhere in sight.  (Michael Scofield) is already hinting that another two or three seasons could still be in the works.  WTF??  Let’s just hope Prison doesn’t run creatively dry like that other show, .

Meanwhile, I have to lodge another complaint against the series.  What does it have against strong women?  It was hard enough not to take it personally when Veronica (Lincoln’s girlfriend) was killed off early last season.  Now it’s being reported by TV Guide that Dr. Sara Tancredi—Scofield’s druggie honey—will soon be MIA as well.  It’s not known why or how the character will disappear, but I find the decision to be quite suspect considering actress Sarah Wayne Callies just become a mother in real-life.
