Snop Lion to Guest Star on ‘One Life to Live’

Snoop LionSnoop Lion will star in One Life To Live. The rapper-turned-reggae artist will produce and perform the theme song for production company Prospect Park's revival of the legendary soap and will appear as himself on the show.

"We're thrilled to have the support of such an iconic artist, like Snoop Lion. To have him write and produce the theme song for this series and to have the amazingly talented Iza Lach on board, is just incredible. We are extremely grateful and excited for fans to hear the new theme song and of course catch Snoop Lion in upcoming episodes," Jeff Kwatinetz, chairman and CEO of Prospect Park.

Other stars set to appear in the revamped show include Jersey Shore's Jenni "JWoww" Farley and High School Musical's Corbin Bleu, who was thrilled to work with Snoop. "Fantastic day yesterday on the set of @onelifetolive with @snooplion #coolestguyever #OLTLPremiers 4/29 on @hulu (sic)," he wrote on Twitter.

All My Children

It’s official: All My Children has been canceled. ABC delivered the news in a shocking double elimination, axing AMC and One Life to Live on the same day.

Kelly Ripa, who played Hayley Vaughan Santos on the series, has already released a statement. “All My Children means so much more to me than any place,” she said of the set where she and husband Mark Consuelos met. “We had our children there, it was a big part of our lives, and I think that to cancel a show that has been on television for so many years, what are you going to replace it with?”

TV Talk: Sarah Ferguson Talks Scandal, Real Housewives Son Arrested

Sarah Ferguson-Celebs are lining up to talk with Oprah before she leaves daytime. Next Tuesday, Sarah Ferguson (a.k.a. the Duchess of York) will try to explain why she tried to make money off ex-husband Prince Andrew.

-Speaking of daytime, James Franco will soon be returning there. He’ll reprise his role as Franco on General Hospital beginning June 30.

-Soap lovers might not like hearing this news: the SOAPnet channel will be gone in 2012. In other words, get your weekend fixes of 90210 now.

-Could we be seeing more drama play out on The Real Housewives of Orange County? Tamra Barney’s son, Ryan Vieth, was recently arrested for an outstanding warrant. Bail was set at $15,000.

-On an inspiring note, a list of channels are planning to Stand Up To Cancer again this year. The commercial-free fundraising event will be simulcast on September 10.

TV Talk: David Canary Leaves All My Children, Leonard Nimoy Retires

David Canary-After 27 years on All My Children, actor David Canary officially said goodbye to the soap opera today. Canary played both Adam and Stuart Chandler on the ABC series.

-Speaking of retirement, that’s what Leonard Nimoy says he’ll be enjoying very shortly. The Star Trek legend says he plans to give up acting altogether after his last Fringe appearance this season.

-The Idol Gives Back special helped raise $45 million for its efforts on Wednesday night. While still impressive, the amount was down $15 million from two years ago.

-If the world is still here in 2024, college basketball will be as well. The NCAA has signed a new 14-year deal with both CBS and Turner Broadcasting worth $10.8 billion.

-Meanwhile, CBS has not yet signed a new deal with Charlie Sheen. An insider claims if Sheen doesn’t sign a contract soon, Two and a Half Men will be officially over.

The actress, who played half-sisters Frannie and Sabrina Hughes between 1985-88, will make a quick appearance to say farewell to her parents.

After 50+ years on air, CBS will dim the lights on ATWT this September.
