On the new program, several recovering addicts would live in the same home while trying to get their lives back together. Unfortunately, we’ve already learned of one guest who has experienced a setback. We’ve also heard rumors of a guest who probably hasn’t been rehabbed yet.

Amy Poehler to Star in Office Spinoff

Amy PoehlerIn the past few years, fans of the creatively-uneven have seen several great female members leave. First there was Tina Fey, then Maya Rudolph. Now it looks as if Lorne Michaels will soon have another void to fill.

Earlier today, Amy Poehler confirmed to the Associated Press that she too will become part of NBC’s primetime programming. The comedienne, who was just nominated for her SNL work, is set to star in the spinoff of The Office.

The 36-year-old, who is currently pregnant with her first child, could not or would not provide any details about her new role. Peach Pit OldPeach Pit New

The producers of CW’s 90210 have already proven that they like to incorporate something old with their something new...and that same philosophy applies to the series’ haunts.

Next fall, West Beverly High won’t be the only location followers of the show will be familiar with. The Peach Pit will also be making a return, albeit with a whole new look.

The show recently took over an already existing joint (Kokomo Cafe) for some filming last week. Although the exteriors will be of the Los Angeles restaurant, interior shots from this point on will reportedly be of a soundstage. Viewers will get a new attached nightclub to boot. (Will this mean more musical appearances from random one-hit wonders? Probably.)

Celebrity Rehab

It’s one thing to get clean, it’s another thing to stay clean.

According to the New York Post, VH1 could soon be inviting more controversy to its channel. The network - which just wrapped filming on its second season of - may begin production on a spinoff as soon as next week.

If the rumored project is given the greenlight, we could see several of Dr. Drew Pinsky’s former patients reunited Real World style. In Sober Living, the recovering addicts would live in one home for 30 days while trying to piece their lives and careers back together. (Could this be why Dr. Drew had a ‘Celebrity Addiction’ special recently? Probably.) Those supposedly approached for the new series include Seth “Shifty” Binzer (Season 1), rocker Steven Adler (Season 2) and model Amber Smith (Season 2).

Until then, you can expect the next round of counseling sessions to begin when Celebrity Rehab returns on August 4 sometime this October.

90210

Years have passed since the show rocketed to success (and was subsequently canceled), and yet is still dominating entertainment news. If you’re longing to see some familiar faces on the fall spin-off of the popular teen series, you won’t be disappointed. If you’re hoping to see Luke Perry on the new show, you will be.

“It’s that 90210 time of year,” Perry laughed with reporters as he answered questions about the spin-off (though he was actually promoting an unrelated project with the Hallmark Channel). Luke Perry has already stated that he will not - that’s right, will not - become Dylan again on camera. According to his own comments, Perry does not really wish to do the series without mastermind Aaron Spelling, famed TV producer (and sire of Tori Spelling) who passed away in 2006.

Shannen DohertyJust last month, Lori Laughlin said it was unlikely 90210 fans would be seeing Shannen Doherty again. “I don’t think Shannen will. No. I don’t think anyone wants to touch that.”

Well, I hate to be the one to break it to ya, Lori—but it looks like someone does want to ‘touch that’ after all.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the producers behind the CW spinoff are currently in talks with Doherty about joining the ever-growing cast. What’s keeping her from signing on the dotted line? She reportedly wants to approve her storyline and paycheck first. (As if she should be turning any money down these days.)

Bravo Steals Another Reality Idea

Tabatha Coffey on Shear GeniusAs much as I love , am I the only one getting tired of their FOX reality rip-offs?

Today, the cable channel announced that it is producing a spinoff for one of Shear Genius‘s competitors from last season. Later this summer, the cameras will be following Tabatha Coffey as she “visits struggling salons in the Los Angeles and New York areas and literally takes over the establishments to whip them into shape.” While some may say a show about hair stylists has nothing to do with FOX, I say this production smells exactly like .

In fact, Tabatha’s Salon Takeover would be the second time Bravo has adopted a concept already seen on that other network. Hell’s Kitchen debuted in May 2005 while Top Chef coincidentally appeared in March 2006. And how about ? That reality hit program played a part in Step It Up & Dance‘s debut this year.

No Luke Perry for 90210

Luke PerryWhile little is known about the storylines we’ll see on next year, there’s one thing we definitely won’t be seeing: a Kelly/Dylan marriage.

Even though Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling are both welcoming a return to the famed zip code, says he’s not envisioning a trip to his old stomping grounds.

In a radio interview with Billy Bush, Perry said, “It’s just not something that I’ve thought about, to be honest. I don’t see it happening.” Well - I don’t think Spelling ever saw herself opening a Bed & Breakfast either, but money’s money.

But who knows? If winds up directing a few episodes as rumored, Perry could have a change of heart later. Lord knows, he had more than his share of those when it came to Brenda and Kelly…
