Quote of the Day: Wendy Williams on Beyonce Documentary

Beyonce and Wendy Williams

"I am a Beyonce fan and I am going to be watching this documentary even if she doesn't introduce us to new stuff... I want to watch it. Fortunately one of the TVs in our kitchen has closed captioning so I can understand what she says -  because you know Beyonce can’t talk. Beyonce sounds like she has a fifth grade education... I just said, I'm a fan but lets call a spade a spade."

- Talk show host Wendy Williams anticipates Beyonce's upcoming HBO documentary, set to air Febuary 16, 2013.

David BeckhamDavid Beckham is being inundated with offers to host his own talk show.

The 37-year-old footballer - whose rolling one year contract with Los Angeles Galaxy is up for renewal in December - has reportedly been offered the chance to front his own sports show by Time Warner Cable. A source told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper, "We want David on board whether or not he continues to play for the Galaxy. We are on our way to becoming the world's biggest sportscaster and he is a key part of our future."

The insider said that the US-based company has offered the midfielder a "multi-million" contract and is "desperate" to secure the father-of-four to host a twice-weekly show on its new sports network. The proposed format would see David interview his fellow athletes, discuss tactics and give him "free reign" to cover any sports of his choice.

But rivals FOX are said to be hashing out a massive counter offer in a desperate bid to lure the successful British star to its network and he is considering his options after being advised to cash-in on his celebrity status.

Sharon Osbourne

Sharon Osbourne broke down in tears on The Talk yesterday morning. The showbiz matriarch couldn't keep her emotions in check when she spoke to thank fans for their messages of support following the news that her 26-year-old son Jack has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

"He's great - he's doing really, really good and I want to thank everyone for all their texts and goodwill and love they send to us. Thank you to everyone for all their good wishes. It's been amazing - but for Jack because I really believe that vibes of prayer help. And what I'm doing right now is not helping because I'm just feeling sorry for myself, and that is no good. So we just have to think positively and get on with this show that we love," she said in between sobs.

Larry King Calls it Quits

Larry KingLongtime nightly CNN television host has announced his departure from his 25 year-old show, Larry King Live.

‘I’m ending my nightly show this fall but continuing at CNN,’’ King posted on his account.

The show, despite its long run, has declined in ratings lately. King plans to step down this fall and says that the network didn’t pressure him to leave. In fact, he planned on leaving during the week that his show hit 25 years, when he interviewed LeBron James, Bill Gates, , and President Obama.

“With this chapter closing I’m looking forward to the future and what my next chapter will bring, but for now it’s time to hang up my nightly suspenders,” he wrote in a statement on his blog.

Although CNN has said that they wouldn’t necessarily fill the time slot with a similar show, King has said would be the best replacement.
