Kevin Jonas: TV Show Is Like Therapy

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Reality, Cable, Features,

Kevin and Danielle JonasKevin Jonas says his reality show can be like therapy.

The Jonas Brothers singer tied the knot with Danielle Deleasa in December 2009 and their relationship is chronicled in TV show Married to Jonas, and he is thankful the program gives the couple the opportunity to review their points of view after a fight.

"The other night we had an argument. Sometimes you say things you don't necessarily mean or can be misconstrued. All you want is for the person to be with you. It came across as me never wanting her to get a job and that I think her place is in the house, and that wasn't my opinion at all. It had to do with me wanting her to be on the road with me. It was a selfish moment for sure, but at the end of the day you look back and think, 'Wow.' Don't you wish you had that option in a relationship to be able to watch back your arguments so you can see who was right and who was wrong? [Can it be like therapy?] Yeah!"

Kevin Jonas: Danielle and I Prove Young Marriage Works

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Drama, Reality, Cable, Features,

Danielle and Kevin JonasKevin Jonas thinks he and his wife have proven people wrong who claimed they got married too young.

The Jonas Brothers singer and his wife Danielle - who married in December 2009 - are due to appear on E!'s newest reality show Married to Jonas and says there is no acting in their new gig.

"Danielle and I are out here in New Jersey, trying to be domestic. You'll get to know her big, Italian family and who the characters are. And you'll get a look into the lives of my family. We're having fun and times are changing. We heard so much negativity when we first got married about how young we are. But it really didn't matter. We're happy. We knew that this was what we wanted and we pretty much have proven all those other people wrong. We were very honest. This is our life here in New Jersey. What you're seeing is what you get. We're not putting anything on for cameras or anything like that. You have to be open and free. [Camera crews] were just a part of our life and what was going on here," he said.

The couple also admitted that the show has helped them tackle their personal problems. "I think doing a reality show has made us talk even more about things that maybe we would not have talked about or just left on the backburner. I just feel like this made us communicate more, and I think that's important in our relationship and keeps it strong," Danielle admitted.

Kevin Jonas to Star in Reality TV Series

Kevin and Danielle JonasKevin Jonas is to star in his own reality TV show. The 24-year-old singer and his wife Danielle will appear in E!'s Married to Jonas - on which Ryan Seacrest will act as the executive producer - and will tell the tale of how the pair, who married in 2009, are dealing with their lives in the international spotlight.

"Danielle is living a true Cinderella story after marrying into pop royalty, partnering in Kevin's larger-than-life career and becoming a 'Jonas,' a name synonymous with hit music and a worldwide fan base. The series presents a unique look at a young couple and their families from two entirely different worlds, one small town and one dealing with international fame, coming together as one and starting a whole new life together," said Lisa Berger, president of entertainment programming for E!.

Ryan - who is best known as a presenter on American Idol - reveals plans have been in motion for some time to create a show, which will begin airing in August, based around the couple: "I vividly recall believing from the very first time that I met them that the Jonas Brothers would, without a doubt, become a worldwide cultural sensation. When we learned that Dani married Kevin, our production team became curious about what life would be like for a young bride entering the excitement, and sometimes chaos, of a pop star's life. The show will examine the ups and downs of Dani and Kevin's marriage, against the backdrop of their contrasting family cultures, traditions and individual careers."

Jonas Premieres Tomorrow Night: Do You Care?

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Comedy, Kids, Music, Prime Time, Cable, Gossip,

Disney’s Jonas, a sitcom starring the , is scheduled to premiere Saturday night. I know what you’re thinking: is it possible for Disney to squeeze in more televised coverage of this trio? Evidently, it is.

But I expect it to be a flop, and that’s not a commentary on their acting abilities. I’d like to present the evident which supports this theory: Disney-viewing kids are, first, already Jonas saturated. They’re also too busy keeping up with Hannah Montana re-runs to worry about that many new shows - and Disney’s summer schedule is always so chock-full of made-for-TV movies it’s hard to realize they actually have serialized programming still running. The Jonas Brothers have also already proved they don’t have -like clout, as their movie performed below expectations at the box office.

Can Disney Rock the Ratings Again?

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Kids, Music, Prime Time, Cable, Gossip,

    Camp Rock

Lightning doesn’t strike twice…unless you build the right kind of rod. No one anticipated the runaway success of Disney’s High School Musical, and now the powers-that-be are determined not to be caught unawares a second time. Fanfare and fan participation became the bookends of the High School Musical 2 marketing campaign…and even this pales in comparison to the star treatment the network is giving the soon-to-be-released .

The promos have been going strong for weeks, the Web site is filled with glitter and pizazz, and the debut is scheduled for June 20. Are you itching to set your DVR?

With the co-starring and a crop of fresh-faced youngsters, Disney is treating Rock like it’s the heir apparent to the Musical throne (the stars of which are moving quickly past the high school stage of their lives). But…is it?
