Ron Silver, an Emmy-nominated actor and Tony award winner, died Sunday after a two-year battle with esophageal cancer. The 62-year-old was surrounded by family when he passed during his sleep yesterday morning.

Silver, who was featured on the big screen in such projects as Ali, Reversal of Fortune, Enemies: A Love Story and Silkwood, had been nominated twice for his work on the small screen. Those needing to review last year’s recaps (like me) have until September 10th to get all caught up.
