Southland Moves to TNT

TNT isn’t only a place for countless Law & Order reruns. The cable channel is now home to another former NBC show.
Starting early next year, TNT will officially begin airing episodes of Southland, the John Wells-produced drama starring The O.C.‘s Benjamin McKenzie.
Despite critical acclaim and an October start date, the program was pulled from NBC just weeks before it was set to return. Now the entire series - including Season 1 and the unaired episodes from Season 2 - will have a new opportunity.
“This is a great win for fans of Southland and a perfect opportunity to introduce the series to new viewers,” said Steve Koonin, president of Turner Entertainment Networks, said in a statement. “It’s also another outstanding example of how TNT has established itself as the go-to place for the best dramas on television.”
Southland will debut on January 12.

Time Warner Cable is about to put yet another nail in the coffin of office productivity. The company plans to test delivery of cable TV programs on the Internet. How ever will the average cubicle dweller cram that, YouTube, and relentless Facebook updates into the average work day?
Time Warner calls it’s prototype TV Everywhere. The initial test will involve 5,000 customers in selected markets around the country. The company has not yet said which markets will be involved. CBS, Syfy (a.k.a. Sci Fi Channel), TNT, TBS, AMC, and BBC America, HBO, WE tv, and the Discovery Channel are among the many networks committed to participating in this initial test of TV Everywhere.

Raising the Bar’s Gosselaar on the Overdue Haircut
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Cable, TNT-HD, Gossip

If there’s one thing Mark-Paul Gosselaar should have realized from his years playing Zack Morris, it’s this: The hair makes the man. Unfortunately, it took a whole season of Raising the Bar before that lesson was learned.
In an interview with TV Guide, the 35-year-old explained the reasoning behind his public defender’s distracting stringy look. “It defined a characteristic of Jerry [Kellerman], that he’s not going to conform to a system. But this year, we had to evolve Jerry. He had to mature, he had to become more tactful. So we cut his hair. It’s down with a story in mind also with a client that he’s working with.”
