TV Scoop: Oprah on LiLo, ‘Dexter’ Spin-Off, New ‘Walking Dead’ Trailer

Melissa McCarthy+ Not surprisingly, Lindsay Lohan hasn't made things easy for her latest project - a reality show set to air on Oprah Winfrey's OWN network. When asked about the progress of the show, the famed TV mogul said that "there have been bumps" with filming.

“It’s how it should be - hunter, prey. Let the game begin.”

At some point during every season of , we all ask ourselves the same question: “How the hell is he going to get out of this one?”

ABC Family’s highly-touted new series, , debuts tonight. The pilot episode will repeat back-to-back-to-back in a three hour mini-marathon starting at 8pm EST. The program, based on the book series by Sara Shepard, details a group of four friends who find their secrets exposed by a fifth friend who’s supposed to be deceased. Pretty freaky.

Watch Longer True Blood Season 3 Trailer

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Sci-Fi/Horror, HBO, News, Video,

If you were confused by the first trailer for True Blood‘s upcoming third season, perhaps this new, extended one can provide some insight…

I, for one, am extremely relieved to know somewhat who the bearded guy on the bed with Sookie is. Will Jason actually do something productive this season? Perhaps most importantly, who can resist a trailer with so much Eric?

Fans can catch the HBO season premiere on June 13.

The Cape Trailer Premieres, Disappoints

The CapeNBC’s replacement, The Cape, recently premiered its full-length trailer. While I may not have agreed with where Heroes ended up, at least its initial premise beat this one’s: good cop gets framed and is left for dead; guy is found by a clandestine group who trains him to be a superhero; superhero fights crime.

One might say that it’s to be expected, it’s a superhero series. True, but isn’t that what we have comic books for? In our current world of theorists and Fringe fanatics, it’s easy to see that viewers want more complex stories with quickly (but slowly) unearthed mythologies. While I can’t say much considering it’s just the trailer (which you can view after the jump), all I’m saying is that the trailer isn’t selling me, and I’m thinking that this alone may be better than the pilot.

Will I watch it? Of course—what else will be left with all these cancellations lately?

And as much as I love her, and as much as I hate saying this… I’m willing to bet that will be out of a job (again) by the end of the year.
