+ Not surprisingly, Lindsay Lohan hasn't made things easy for her latest project - a reality show set to air on Oprah Winfrey's OWN network. When asked about the progress of the show, the famed TV mogul said that "there have been bumps" with filming.
+ With the disappointing series finale of Dexter, fans of the crime thriller will be pleased to know that Showtime president David Nevins is - despite some reluctance - hinting at a spin-off starring Michael C. Hall, who portrayed the eponymous anti-hero.
+ AMC released a new trailer for the second half of The Walking Dead that wasn't too much of a teaser, considering that everything in TWD world looked more or less the same as it did in the mid-season finale.
+ Funny lady Melissa McCarthy is set to host Saturday Night Live for the third time during Super Bowl weekend with Imagine Dragons appearing as the musical guest.

‘Walking Dead’ Creator Frank Darabont Files Lawsuit Against AMC
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Sci-Fi/Horror, Cable, Gossip, News, Rumors,
I'm not sure which was more abrupt: Frank Darabont's departure from The Walking Dead, or his lawsuit against the show's distributor, AMC.
The three-time Oscar nominee developed the comic book series into the hit series that it is today, but he was quietly fired from the production just shortly into the show's second season. Now Darabont is suing the network - which gave TV fans Mad Men and Breaking Bad - for tens of millions of dollars in profit he believes that they owe him due to a sweetheart deal they made in licensing the show to itself.
In Darabont's lawsuit, which he filed yesterday in New York, the director claims that AMC never told him why they dismissed him from the show (something they never discussed publicly, either).
“AMC’s conduct toward Frank to date has been nothing short of atrocious. Unfortunately, the fans of The Walking Dead have suffered as well by being deprived of his creative talent," Darbont's lead lawyer Dale Kinsella said.

Quote of the Day: ‘Walking Dead’ Star Norman Reedus on ‘Portlandia’
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, Sci-Fi/Horror, Cable, Gossip,
"I love Portlandia! I would do that show, in a heartbeat. I would love that. You know when Saturday Night Live did a sketch of The Walking Dead, and Bill Hader played me? He invited me to the after-party, and Fred [Armisen] was there, and I was such a big fan, I just spent the entire time trying to hug Fred over and over and over again. I think he thought I was a complete weirdo. He might be scared of me now... I'm a hugger, too. But it was literally like seven hugs, and he was looking at me like, 'Again? You want to hug again?' I might have hugged him to death. But I love the feminist bookstore skit. I love that whole show. It's awesome."

First Look: The Governor and Michonne of The Walking Dead
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Sci-Fi/Horror, Cable, News,
AMC's popular zombie drama series The Walking Dead returns this Fall for its third season with new characters whose small screen arrivals have been eagerly anticipated by the comic book's fans since the series first aired.
One of those characters is the Governor (pictured above), played by British actor David Morrissey. A big bad of the upcoming season, executive producer Greg Nicotero reveals that the Governor on the show will still surprise fans of the comic: "It's very different from what you know of the character from the graphic novel, with the long stringy hair."
