Team Zoe hasn’t seen this much drama since Eva Mendes noticed a spot on her dress.
After two seasons of complaining about her job, Taylor Jacobsen has finally left her post as Rachel Zoe‘s main assistant. The parting of ways, which happened on Friday, was later confirmed by Jacobsen herself.
“After four amazing years at Rachel Zoe Corporation, I’m saddened and exhilarated at the same time to announce my departure. After much thought and consideration, I have decided to take the challenging leap to go off and style on my own,” Taylor wrote in an email to contacts.

Drew Carey to Pay $1M for New Twitter Account
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Gossip, Internet
Only in Burbank. The Price is Right host Drew Carey took to Twitter after a Seattle Sounders win on October 3 (I know, I know, who? Evidently, they’re a soccer team…and evidently, Carey’s part owner) to share his joy, whereupon he discovered that the Twitter name @Drew was being auctioned off.
It was being auctioned off by Drew Olanoff, a blogger who has battled cancer. He got the idea to auction off his username, with proceeds to be sent to the LiveStrong Foundation. “I thought it was so much fun that I bid $25,000,” Carey explained to CNN. “I was in such a good mood that I raised it to $100,000.”
Hear that, soccer fans? If you want something from Drew Carey, catch him about ten minutes after the Sounders win.

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, FOX, So You Think You Can Dance, Gossip, News, Video
Depending on how you feel about your reality shows, this news may be more upsetting than Paula Abdul‘s exit from American Idol.
What was hinted in a series of tweets last night has now been confirmed: Mia Michaels has left So You Think You Can Dance. The choreographer - who coincidentally used the same method as Abdul to announce her departure - posted the messages on Twitter shortly after appearing on last night’s episode.
“I AM OFFICIALLY AN ADORING FAN OF SYTYCD….THANK U FOR 5 WONDERFUL YRS…TO CREATE MOMENTS AND MOVEMENT FOR THE WORLD TO SHARE WITH ME WAS A GIFT…THANKS SYTYCD AND LOOK FORWARD TO WHATS AHEAD FOR ME…LOOKOUT WORLD!!!!!” Mia wrote.

MTV VIDEO: Kanye West Disrespects Taylor Swift at VMAs

UPDATE: You can read Taylor Swift’s response here.
UPDATE: You can read Kanye West’s “apology” here.
Let’s just make this clear—this stunt was not orchestrated like Bruno’s moment with Eminem.
During tonight’s MTV Video Music Awards, Kanye West stunned the audience—and an already stunned Taylor Swift—with a declaration that will be talked about for quite some time. While accepting an award for Best Female Video, the country singer was interrupted by the rapper who was upset about Beyonce’s loss in the category.
Although Kanye is known for acting like a child when he is not presented an award, he felt it was necessary to defend Ms. Knowles’ honor during Taylor’s moment on stage. (Based on the shocked expression on Beyonce’s face, she clearly didn’t want his help.) Unfortunately, that left the beautiful 19-year-old standing there with nothing left to say.

Paula Abdul Responds to Ellen Selection
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Gossip, News

Wondering how Paula Abdul feels about being replaced by Ellen DeGeneres?
While I doubt she’s entirely pleased with the situation, she apparently has nothing bad to say about the talk show host. At least, there’s nothing she can say with only 140 characters.
Just moments ago, the former judge issued this comment via Twitter:
“I think Ellen will b a gr8 judge on Idol. She is wildly funny, talented and I wish her the best of luck!”

According to her recent tweets, Paula Abdul will be hosting VH1 Divas next month. The live broadcast is scheduled to air September 17 at 9pm EST.
Abdul will be only one of many divas in the building. The lineup includes singers like Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, Miley Cyrus and Jordin Sparks, to name a few. This gig marks Paula’s first after-Idol job and brings Abdul back to live TV - a situation rich with possibility.

BREAKING NEWS: Paula Abdul Quits American idol
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Gossip, News

UPDATE: It’s really true. Fox has just released this official statement. “Paula Abdul has been an important part of the American Idol family over the last eight seasons and we are saddened that she has decided not to return to the show. While Paula will not be continuing with us, she’s a tremendous talent and we wish her the best.”
We knew an announcement would be coming soon—but did we really think it would end up this way?
Less than a week after learning that Kara DioGuardi would be returning to American Idol comes news of a major exit. Within the hour, Paula Abdul has announced through a series of tweets that she will NOT be coming back to the hit reality show.

Paula Abdul Threatening to Leave American Idol
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Gossip, News
UPDATE: Simon Cowell told Extra, “She’ll be fine. She’ll be on the show. I don’t get a lot of say. I’ve just made it clear that I want Paula on the show.”
Did Ryan Seacrest’s $45 million paycheck leave Paula Abdul with chump change?
Although Paula Abdul declared that American Idol was something she’d always “want to be a part of,” her manager recently told the Los Angeles Times that a return was starting to look doubtful. “Very sadly, it does not appear that she’s going to be back on Idol,” David Sonenberg stated.
According to David, Abdul hasn’t even been given an option to turn down. “I have not received any proposal whatsoever,” Sonenberg claimed. “I find it under these circumstances particularly unusual; I think unnecessarily hurtful. I find it kind of unconscionable and certainly rude and disrespectful that they haven’t stepped up and said what they want to do,” he added.
Could this be why Kara DioGuardi’s fate is still up in the air? The producers might not believe there are suitable replacements for Simon Cowell or Seacrest, but they may be keeping Abdul’s waiting in the wings.
Until the negotiations are finalized, Paula supporters on Twitter have begun adding #KeepPaula to the end of their tweets.

Next week, FOX will pay tribute to the King of Pop’s musical library. Now the network is planning to honor his contributions to dance.
Hours after Michael Jackson’s death, plans for a special So You Think You Can Dance were in the works.
