Kevin Federline Fed Up with Weight Problem

Britney’s ex is bucking to be a thin reality star. That’s right: Kevin Federline has signed up as an official cast member on the new season of Celebrity Fit Club.

He’s already on the set, though at this early stage there is no discernable difference in his overall body mass index.

K-Fed will reportedly join ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson, Baywatch beauty Nicole Eggert and singer Bobby Brown for the latest VH1 installment.

‘Biggest Loser’ Signed on for Fifth Season

Who would have imagined that a show called The Biggest Loser would continue to be such a success? I remember the first season, thinking “no way that show is going to last.” I’ve got news for you. This show has staying power… the latest proof is the announcement that the show has been renewed for a fifth season. The show takes overweight folks and puts them through their paces—with huge results. I’ve never really watched a full season, but I enjoy tuning in at the end to see the before and after shots. It’s amazing to me that these people can work so hard and make big changes in their lives. Makes me wonder how come I can’t even manage to lose 10 pounds and stick to any kind of exercise schedule. According to Craig Plestis, the head of alternative series at NBC, “The Biggest Loser’ continues to be a top performer and important franchise for NBC, and season four is already off to a great start. We look forward to the fifth cycle of the show, and continuing to entertain and inspire viewers all over the country.” The show averaged 7.85 million viewers so far this season. Next season promises to add a new spin, with teams of competitors (rather than individuals) looking to collectively lose weight. Production begins later this fall, with the intention to air it early in 2008. Allison Sweeney, star of Days of Our Lives, will be returning as the host.

Kirstie Alley’s Big Bikini Reveal on Oprah

I love Kirstie Alley—with the exception of Veronica’s Closet, I’ve been a big fan for a long time. And when she gained weight, she took it in stride, even poking fun in the series Fat Actress. Determined to lose the weight, she became a Jenny Craig spokeswoman and participant—showing us her progress every step of the way. And now, she’s making good on a promise she made to Oprah to appear in a bikini on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Last November, Alley told Winfrey she was inspired by a guest who lost 70 pounds and became Miss Bikini America. Alley decided to challenge herself to lose more weight by promising to pose in a bikini for the show. “I’d like to prove to myself and maybe other women my age that there can still be good years ahead of us,” Alley said in June’s People magazine. “Maybe even the best.” The show will air on Monday.
