MONDAY 6/1)
- I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! (NBC, 8pm): Series premiere. “In the opener, 10 celebrities are dropped into the heart of the jungle to begin competing in various challenges that test their survival skills.” The first victim? Sanjaya Malakar‘s hair.
- Jon & Kate Plus Eight (TLC, 9pm): “The kids team up with professional baker Duff Goldman (Ace of Cakes) to create a special surprise for Kate on her birthday.” Kate, having been left all alone, will be forced to stuff her own pinatas.
- Unwrapped (Food, 9pm): “Fried foods are featured. Included: Ian’s organic chicken nuggets.” As if an organic version would make them less wrong.
- The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien (NBC, 11:30pm): The return of Andy Richter? Say no more!

Preview Will Ferrell’s Appearance on Man vs. Wild
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Cable, Video
UPDATE: Ferrell now says he did not drink his urine as previously reported, but does admit to sampling a little cornea.
I always knew Man vs. Wild was educational, but who knew it could also be funny?
On next week’s episode of the Discovery Channel show, actor Will Ferrell brings levity to what would probably be a miserable experience. The Land of the Lost star joins host Bear Grylls on a cold journey through an area far north of Sweden. During their travels, the two men will feast on reindeer eyeballs and chase that down with some nice bodily fluid.

Jay Leno Lines up Schwarzenegger, Gibson and O’Brien for Final Week
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Late Night, Talk Shows, NBC

Just because he won’t be moving far doesn’t mean Jay Leno can’t throw himself a party.
Starting next Monday, a list of celebrities will be stopping by The Tonight Show to offer their goodbyes. The weeklong “farewell” will cap off Leno’s 17-year run at 11:30 PM.
On May 25, Mel Gibson will kick off the celebration with singer Dwight Yoakam. This will be the Lethal Weapon star’s first television interview since news of his impending divorce broke. (I wonder if he will be addressing rumors his girlfriend’s pregnancy?)

Will Ferrell Joins Bear Grylls on Man vs. Wild
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Cable
Land of the Lost star Will Ferrell will soon be lost on land.
To promote the upcoming release of his Universal Pictures pic, the comedian’s body is once again being being put to the test. Unfortunately in this case, it won’t entirely be for laughs.
In an June episode of Man vs. Wild, Ferrell will join host Bear Grylls in an area far north of Sweden where they will endure subzero temperatures. During their 48 hours together, the actor and the ex-Special Forces soldier have to create their own shelter, find food and navigate the region.
What can we expect to the see the former SNL star do? Well, he’ll be rappelling down frozen waterfalls, climbing trees and tandem-abseiling off a helicopter. Oh - he’ll also be eating reindeer eyeballs and drinking some of his own fluid.

Will Ferrell Joins Tina Fey on Saturday Night Live
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Prime Time, NBC, Saturday Night Live, Video
What’s better than a Tina Fey cameo on Saturday Night Live? A Palin sketch that also includes Will Ferrell.
On tonight’s special Thursday broadcast, the popular SNL alum made a surprise return to play the current POTUS. Not so coincidentally, Will is also prepping to bring his version of Bush to Broadway next year.
Was Ferrell’s visit really a shameless promotion for You’re Welcome America. A Final Night With George W. Bush? Who cares?
SNL Alum Not Amused By Sarah Palin
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Comedy, Late Night, NBC, Saturday Night Live, Gossip, Video
After tons of hype and media attention, vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin finally made an appearance (for real) on SNL. I would have rather just watched Tina Fey (who at least makes the wanna-be veep seem charming)…and apparently I’m not alone in that sentiment.
“Quite frankly, it’s a big mistake to let her go on,” said former Saturday Night Live regular and Weekend Update anchor Chevy Chase. “Apparently, she [Sarah Palin] cannot improvise herself out of a paper bag!” Or drooping polls.

This Week on TV (12/17-12/23)
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Drama, Games, Kids, Music, Prime Time, Reality, Specials, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, Amazing Race, The, Nip/Tuck, The Office

MONDAY (12/17)
- Duel (ABC, 8pm): The first of six-airings this week. In this game show, the contestants ‘challenge each other’s intellect and skill, but a single wrong answer disqualifies them from trying for the $1.5 million prize.’ Seriously - if a show is going to be named ‘Duel’, it should involve body blows.
- Clash of the Choirs (NBC, 8pm): This four-part series brings us Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle, Nick Lachey and Kelly Rowland. Surprisingly, this combo is not part of some VH1 program.
- Notes from the Underbelly (ABC, 9pm): “Eric must organize a baby party without ruining friendships.” His pals are all hoping they don’t have to come.
- Journeyman (NBC, 10pm): “Dan is sent to rescue a mother and son in an RV hanging from a cliff.” Just for clarification—do his travels always predate the existence of 911?
