Preview Will Ferrell’s Appearance on Man vs. Wild

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Cable, Video

UPDATE: Ferrell now says he did not drink his urine as previously reported, but does admit to sampling a little cornea.

I always knew was educational, but who knew it could also be funny?

On next week’s episode of the Discovery Channel show, actor Will Ferrell brings levity to what would probably be a miserable experience. The Land of the Lost star joins host Bear Grylls on a cold journey through an area far north of Sweden. During their travels, the two men will feast on reindeer eyeballs and chase that down with some nice bodily fluid.

Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien

Just because he won’t be moving far doesn’t mean can’t throw himself a party.

Starting next Monday, a list of celebrities will be stopping by to offer their goodbyes. The weeklong “farewell” will cap off Leno’s 17-year run at 11:30 PM.

On May 25, Mel Gibson will kick off the celebration with singer Dwight Yoakam. This will be the Lethal Weapon star’s first television interview since news of his impending divorce broke. (I wonder if he will be addressing rumors his girlfriend’s pregnancy?)

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Cable

Will FerrellLand of the Lost star will soon be lost on land.

To promote the upcoming release of his Universal Pictures pic, the comedian’s body is once again being being put to the test. Unfortunately in this case, it won’t entirely be for laughs.

In an June episode of , Ferrell will join host Bear Grylls in an area far north of Sweden where they will endure subzero temperatures. During their 48 hours together, the actor and the ex-Special Forces soldier have to create their own shelter, find food and navigate the region.

What can we expect to the see the former SNL star do? Well, he’ll be rappelling down frozen waterfalls, climbing trees and tandem-abseiling off a helicopter. Oh - he’ll also be eating reindeer eyeballs and drinking some of his own fluid.

Will Ferrell Joins Tina Fey on Saturday Night Live

What’s better than a Tina Fey cameo on ? A Palin sketch that also includes Will Ferrell.

On tonight’s special Thursday broadcast, the popular SNL alum made a surprise return to play the current POTUS. Not so coincidentally, Will is also prepping to bring his version of Bush to Broadway next year.

Was Ferrell’s visit really a shameless promotion for You’re Welcome America. A Final Night With George W. Bush? Who cares?

SNL Alum Not Amused By Sarah Palin

After tons of hype and media attention, vice presidential candidate finally made an appearance (for real) on SNL. I would have rather just watched Tina Fey (who at least makes the wanna-be veep seem charming)…and apparently I’m not alone in that sentiment.

“Quite frankly, it’s a big mistake to let her go on,” said former regular and Weekend Update anchor Chevy Chase. “Apparently, she [Sarah Palin] cannot improvise herself out of a paper bag!” Or drooping polls.

This Week on TV (12/17-12/23)

Gossip Girl

MONDAY (12/17)

  • (ABC, 8pm):  The first of six-airings this week.  In this game show, the contestants ‘challenge each other’s intellect and skill, but a single wrong answer disqualifies them from trying for the $1.5 million prize.’  Seriously - if a show is going to be named ‘Duel’, it should involve body blows.
  • (NBC, 8pm):  This four-part series brings us Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle, Nick Lachey and Kelly Rowland.  Surprisingly, this combo is not part of some program.
  • (ABC, 9pm):  “Eric must organize a baby party without ruining friendships.”  His pals are all hoping they don’t have to come.
  • (NBC, 10pm):  “Dan is sent to rescue a mother and son in an RV hanging from a cliff.”  Just for clarification—do his travels always predate the existence of 911?
