Nicollette Sheridan Leaves Wisteria Lane

It appears Edie Britt’s return to Desperate Housewives may not be a permanent one after all.
Despite questions about Nicollette Sheridan’s status after last season, her character surprised neighbors when she came back to Wisteria Lane with a new man on her arm. Unfortunately, it’s her that hubby of hers that may bring about her permanent exit.
Reps for both the network and the actress confirm that Sheridan will be leaving at the end of this season. Although the details on her departure are not entirely known, E! Online claims psycho Dave will attempt to kill her. (Whether he succeeds is another question.)
According to Nicollette’s spokesperson, her final scenes will air in April.

New Housewife Moves to Wisteria Lane

Looks like Nicollette Sheridan might have another blonde to compete with next year. (That’s assuming she even returns to Wisteria Lane, of course.)
According to Entertainment Weekly, actress Gail O’Grady will be joining the ladies of Desperate Housewives on a recurring basis. Unfortunately for Lynette, Gail’s presence may soon become a problem for the Scavo household.
O’Grady, who will also come with a husband in tow, is rumored to be the latest cougar on TV. (After all, they are the in thing these days.) And since Bree’s son is gay, this could finally mean a storyline for one of the twins. (Well, they are like 5 years older now.)
Desperate Housewives returns to ABC on Sunday, September 28.
