90210 News: Shannen Doherty May Return
Just last month, Lori Laughlin said it was unlikely 90210 fans would be seeing Shannen Doherty again. “I don’t think Shannen will. No. I don’t think anyone wants to touch that.”
Well, I hate to be the one to break it to ya, Lori—but it looks like someone does want to ‘touch that’ after all.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the producers behind the CW spinoff are currently in talks with Doherty about joining the ever-growing cast. What’s keeping her from signing on the dotted line? She reportedly wants to approve her storyline and paycheck first. (As if she should be turning any money down these days.)
Read More So what could this new development mean for Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling? (Having just watched Tori & Dean, I don’t think Spelling could back out now. She’s got a new home to pay for.) As for Garth, the former rival claims that she has matured enough to get past any animosity she had with Doherty. “A lot of time has passed, and I’m a big girl. I’d have no problem with her coming on the show.”
And while I have mixed feelings about Shannen, I have to admit her presence could bring a lot of electricity to the show. There’s no doubt people will be glued to their sets hoping to catch an evil glare or two.
