MONDAY (7/13)
  • Great American Road Trip (NBC, 8pm):  New day. “The six remaining families hit the road, leaving the Gateway Arch in St. Louis and skirting through Missouri, where they land in Branson to perform skits before crooner Andy Williams and comic Yakov Smirnoff.” Apparently, the families also journey back several decades.
  • Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABC Family, 8pm):  “Amy needs assistance with her chaotic schedule, so her dad and sister lend her a hand.” When the supportive applause died down, she put the baby back to sleep.
  • The Bachelorette (ABC, 8pm):  “Jillian arrives on Maui with the three remaining bachelors, all of whom she says she loves.” Yes - and said he loved Melissa. We know how this goes.
  • Make It or Break It (ABC Family, 9pm):  “Sasha puts the girls through a grueling day of practice as punishment for attending a party.” That’s what non-athletes call ‘working off the alcohol.’”

‘Star Jones’, ‘Montel Williams’ Cancelled

, the woman who once occupied a seat on , is already looking for a new job.  After only six months on the air, (formerly ) officially turned off the lights on the today.  The program’s demise was announced only earlier this week.  In a statement, the network said the decision was “due to the rebranding and programming refocus of the network.”  (In other words, the channel was moving on and Star wasn’t coming with them.)

The end of Reynolds’ show, though, does not mean a departure for her from the channel.  As part of her goodbye gift, Star was given the opportunity to serve as a guest legal correspondent on the daily program that is replacing hers: .

Rosie to Stay on The View

Rosie O'DonnellRosie O’Donnell has only been on The View three months, and rumors are already swirling that she may be leaving the gabfest. This speculation came after she mentioned that she would like to work on Nip/Tuck in response to an audience member’s question at the commercial break. On Thursday’s show, she set the record straight, saying “Don’t anybody worry where Rosie’s going. She’s right here.” And the ladies of The View should be lucky that she’s sticking around—the show has seen an increase in viewership since Star Jones left and O’Donnell came on board. The show enjoyed its best numbers in its history for November, with viewership up 15 percent over last year.
