Alyson Hannigan taught Jason Segel "how to be a man."
The How I Met Your Mother actor, who reportedly checked into rehab following his split from Michelle Williams last February, admitted he is really going to miss his co-star when the show finishes up in March after nine seasons. "Aly taught me a lot about how to be a man, I gotta say. I was 25 when I took the show. I think we've all been through a lot personally. Aly and I have a lot of scenes together, spend a lot of time together, and she's always been there to listen to me and give me advice. [She] saw me through hard times and good times... I learned a lot from being around Alyson about the kind of person that I wanted to be."

Seth Green to Guest Star on ‘How I Met Your Mother’

Buffy fans, rejoice! Oz Seth Green Will soon reunite with Willow Alyson Hannigan as a guest star on How I Met Your Mother.
Green will appear on the sitcom as Daryl LaCoutre, a man who considers Lily (Hannigan) and Marshall (Jason Segel) two of his best friends from college. Twelve years later, the pair run into him, but they have no clue who he is. LaCoutre apparently goes into stalker-sounding territory, as he is “creepily obsessed with having them [Lily and Marshall] in his life.”
The episode is tentatively schedule to air on CBS on December 10.
Until then, True Blood fans will want to tune into the show on November 12, when Joe Manganiello is set to begin his two episode arc on the hit series.

Should someone be thanking Britney Spears?
Not too long ago we were wondering if How I Met Your Mother was going to be renewed. Now CBS is rewarding the show’s cast members for sticking around.
As a thank you for boosting Monday night’s numbers, the network has just given all five actors - Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris and Alyson Hannigan - substantial raises. Their pay bumps, retroactive to the start of the season, amount to approximately 2-3 times their previous salaries. They will now reportedly rake in anywhere between $90,000-$120,000 per episode.
In addition to a larger check, the five will also have a longer stay. Their old seven-year contracts were extended to eight.

‘How I Met Your Mother’ Slap Bet Countdown

Fans of How I Met Your Mother could probably belt out the Robin Sparkes’ tune ‘Let’s Go To the Mall’ if asked. But the classic episode that introduced us to Robin’s Canadian pop star alter-ego was memorable for one other thing: the Slap Bet. Barney and Marshall (with Lily as commissioner) instituted the game when they were busy trying to discover Robin’s dirty secret. The loser (a.k.a Barney) would be slapped five times by the winner. The question was: Would he rather be slapped 5 times at once? Or would he rather have them spread out for an indefinite period of time? (Stupidly—Barney chose the latter).
Well those who enjoyed the first two smacks should be thrilled to know the remaining three are still on the table. To pique our interest, the producers of HIMYM have created a ‘Slap Countdown’ on the show’s website. So get yourself prepped for the slap heard round the world. (BTW, if you have difficulty doing the math—the timer is counting down to the Nov. 19th episode.)
