The Office Welcomes Back Amy Ryan

Amy Ryan in The OfficeI’m happy to report that one of my favorite actresses from 2007 will be returning to one of my favorite television shows next year.

It’s just been announced that will be hanging around Dunder Mifflin for at least another 5 episodes this fall. At the end of The Office‘s last season, Ryan entered the scene as HR rep Holly Flax, the woman who replaced Toby Flenderson. In the finale, Holly and Michael seemed to make an actual connection. Unfortunately, news of Jan’s surprise pregnancy threw things off course.

This is not the first project that Ryan and Steve Carell have worked on together; the two were both in the charming . Dan was just one of three movies that Amy starred in last year that I absolutely loved. The Oscar-nominated actress was also featured in Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead and Gone Baby Gone.

Nicole Richie to Guest Star on Chuck

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Prime Time, NBC, Gossip, News,

Nicole RichieAfter years of acting like a bratty socialite, has finally decided to dabble in real comedic fare. (I mean - if Paris Hilton can attempt it, anyone can.)

Next fall, we’ll be seeing Richie in an episode of NBC’s Chuck. The new mom will play a “snarky and spiteful girl who tortured Sarah in school.” (That description is so Lohan on Ugly Betty.) The two cross paths again when Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) is forced to attend her high school reunion for a mission.

This job actually won’t be the first non-reality role for Nicole. star has also made appearances on American Dreams and 8 Simple Rules.

Mary-Kate Guest Stars on Samantha Who?

Mary-Kate teams up with Christina Applegate on Samantha Who?It looks as if the troubled half of the Olsen twins is truly back on her feet! Mary-Kate Olsen is returning to television again, guest starring on the ABC comedy Samantha Who?

After her 10 episode stint on Showtime’s hit series Weeds, the former child star is actually becoming an adult in the acting world (need I remind you of those straight-to-DVD movies and New York Minute?). After all, she did just turn 22… it’s about time!

The pint-sized actress plays a character who needs “saving” by Christina Applegate‘s title character. Sources say that although she has only been scheduled for one episode, everyone has been more than happy about her performance. Hopefully she can graduate to real films now!

The episode is scheduled to air this upcoming fall.

Lucy Liu, Jerry O’Connell Join ‘Betty’ for February Sweeps

Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, ABC, Ratings,

Ugly Betty Prepare for the guest appearances, as we head into February sweeps. Ugly Betty will be adding Lucy Liu and Jerry O’Connell to the roster for brief guest star appearances. Liu, who is no stranger to television after appearing on Ally McBeal, will be seen in two episodes beginning on February 15th. Her role should be fun (how could it not be, with this irresistible actress)—she’ll be playing a college classmate of Daniel Meade’s (Eric Mabius). He calls on her for help, but since he stood her up for a date back in college, this could be tricky. O’Connell is a regular on Crossing Jordan, but will be swinging by Betty for one episode on February 15th. And here you can expect cuteness, because he’ll meet up with Alexis Meade (played by Rebecca Romijn, who is engaged to O’Connell) at a bar.
