Bruno Flying at the MTV Movie Awards

If there’s anything we’ve learned from this weekend, it’s this: Eminem’s performance in 8 Mile was no fluke. The rapper’s also a very good actor.

Three days after getting butt-to-face time with Bruno (a.k.a. Sacha Baron Cohen), the man who was held hostage in his chair finally speaks out.

In an interview with Rap Radar, Slim Shady says he couldn’t have been more pleased with how the planned stunt played out. “I’m thrilled that we pulled this off better than we rehearsed it. It had so many people going ‘nuts’ so to speak. Everyone was blowing me up about it,” he said.

“Yes, the Eminem-Bruno incident was staged. They rehearsed it at dress [rehearsal] and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show,” Scott wrote in his blog.

That clarification doesn’t make the situation any less gross…but it does make it that much funnier.

That said, Andy Samberg’s performance - and Bruno’s encounter with Eminem - made this year’s broadcast slightly easier to swallow. After watching him spoof several of the year’s most popular films (Twilight, Star Trek, Slumdog Millionaire, The Reader), check out Andy’s musical commentary on explosions after the jump.

UPDATE: You can read Eminem’s reaction to the planned stunt here.

What’s the best way to get on Eminem’s bad side? Well - if you’re , just get your naked rear in his face.

During tonight’s broadcast of the , actor Sacha Baron Cohen (promoting his movie about an Austrian fashionista) flew in from the rafters on on a high note…then descended toward the rapper’s low note. Needless to say, this prompted the musician and his crew to leave in disgust.
