Adam Levine to Host SNL

Adam LevineAdam Levine will make his Saturday Night Live hosting debut on January 26.

While the Voice judge and Maroon 5 frontman will host for the first time ever in the episode which will feature musical guest Kendrick Lamar, he has previously appeared in a digital short on the comedy sketch show with Andy Samberg and Fred Armisen.

Adam's appearance will take place once week after Silver Linings Playbook star Jennifer Lawrence makes her SNL debut on January 19 with a performance from The Lumineers.

Adam recently revealed he will miss Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green on The Voice as they take a season off to focus on their respective music careers but admitted he is excited about their replacements Usher and Shakira: "Christina and Cee Lo are so close to my heart because we went through the show becoming a success together and Usher and Shakira are coming into it as a big institution. So it's different but it still feels good because they are legitimate artists. I knew Usher before. We've worked in the studio a couple of times together. Shakira is a new friend but I love her dearly already. She's so sweet and adorable and hilarious."

Adam Levine on 'The Voice'Adam Levine is terrified of Shakira.

The Maroon 5 singer will be joined on The Voice by the singer and Usher next season when they replace Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, but he has no plans to subject her to any initiation ceremonies because he knows the pregnant star is more than a match for him.

"[Fellow coach] Blake Shelton and I don't have it in our hearts to do anything terrible and I know Shakira, she could knock me out," he said.

While he is excited about working with Shakira, Adam will miss Christina, despite their bickering on the show: "We never hated each other. It was just silly bickering, like brother and sister. That's in the past, I'll miss her next season."

Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine love to prank their fellow The Voice coaches. The "Your Body" singer recently announced she will take a break from the show next season in order to focus on her new album and Christina admitted leaving will be "bittersweet" because she has so much fun with her fellow mentors.

"It's bittersweet. I so enjoy being a coach to my team on The Voice [and] and at this point in season three, all of us coaches have truly bonded. When me and Adam are on breaks backstage, you know, we're writing profanity with my red lipstick all over Blake [Shelton]'s trailer while he's napping inside. It's like we have definitely become like brother and sister. We goof around and play around. I'm going to miss it," she told E! News.

American Horror Story in Talks With Joseph Fiennes

Joseph FiennesThe cast of the second season of American Horror Story is coming together slowly, but surely...

In addition to a handful of actors returning to the FX show from season one, word through the TV grapevine says that Joseph Fiennes -- whom you may recall from his most recent small screen role as Mark Benford on Flash Forward -- is in talks for the Ryan Murphy/Brad Falchuk-created show.

The anthology series takes place in the sixties -- more specifically, in an East Coast institution for the criminally insane. Fiennes would play the head of the institution, where Jessica Lange's character works (incidentally, her character is a love interest for Fiennes').

Musician-turned-reality show judge Adam Levine is also new to the series, portraying a character known only as one half of a couple known as The Lovers.

American Horror Story's sophomore season is scheduled to premiere this Fall.

Adam Levine Says Voice Fame is ‘Intense’

Adam LevineAdam Levine says TV fame is more "intense" than the notoriety he achieved with Maroon 5.

The "Moves Like Jagger" singer admits he wasn't prepared for all the extra attention he has received since becoming a coach on The Voice.

"This has been very intense. I wasn't really expecting it. I was very used to what had been happening with me and the band for many years, so it takes some adjustments and I'm getting used to it. Things like being surrounded by people asking questions like this are a little bit new for me. But it doesn't really bother me very much and I stay relatively private most of the time so it's all good," he said when asked about his increased fame since the pop star search TV show started.

One thing that has definitely changed for Adam since he appeared on The Voice is that people now pay more attention to what he has to say. The 33-year-old musician - who released his first album with Maroon 5 in 2002 - admits he does sometimes worry about his words coming back to haunt him:

Adam Levine to Star in American Horror Story

Adam LevineAdam Levine is set to make his TV acting debut in American Horror Story.

The Maroon 5 frontman and The Voice coach is in final negotiations to appear in season two of the TV thriller - about a family who move into a haunted house - where he will play a contemporary character, who is one half of a couple called The Lovers, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Bosses at FX channel which makes the show are so keen to sign Adam up that they are willing to shoot around the Maroon 5 singer's summer touring schedule.

Despite the huge success of season one of the American Horror Story, creator Ryan Murphy has decided to change the location of the show to the East Coast from Los Angeles and move the setting to a "horror institution" from a family home.

Original cast members Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Lily Rabe will be returning as entirely different characters although no other details of the program's sophomore season have been revealed.

Adam Levine Wants Kanye on The Voice

Adam LevineAdam Levine would love to see Kanye West guest star on The Voice.

The Maroon 5 singer and mentor on the reality show thinks the outspoken rapper - famed for interrupting award shows to give his opinions - would be a great person to appear alongside the panel, although he's not sure if network NBC would be so keen.

Speaking on Anderson, he said he'd pick Kanye "just because he's such a firecracker. I'm sure that terrifies NBC, but that would be fun. I love Kanye, I love what he does."

Adam - who judges the show alongside Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton - also addressed rumors the mentors don't get on, saying their arguments are just for the camera: "It's fine. Everyone's so funny. They take one little thing. We bicker, like brother and sister kind of thing, but it's all in good fun. No one's carrying it with them anywhere other than the stage."
