Can’t get to Washington, D.C. in time for the biggest celebration of the year? There are many ways to watch the history-making Inaugural event which will see the swearing in of President-elect Barack Obama. Can’t attend a party in reality? Time to turn to all different types of TV.
The carbon-neutral Green Inaugural Ball, which is chaired by former VP Al Gore, will be Webcast on multiple sites. Watch the arrivals on the Green Carpet and enjoy the emissions-free atmosphere from the safety of your laptop.
MTV will also be Webcasting their Inaugural Event (the “Be the Change Inaugural Ball”), which is being held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. An array of musicians and celebs will be on hand for the event.

MTV to Host Presidential Bash
MTV has announced plans for its “Be the Change Inaugural Ball,” a bash for President-elect Barack Obama. The event will take place in the Ronald Reagan Building in D.C. on January 20. Live television coverage will give everyone access to the party. MTV will also feature all the revelry via Internet.
Celebrities, politicians and recording artists will decorate the event, meant to celebrate Obama’s swearing in to office. MTV will also choose hundreds of partygoers to give the cameras plenty of great shots.
It is expected that more than one million will arrive in Washington to celebrate the event, and to participate in several inaugural balls being planned throughout the city.
