Kim CattrallIt seems eager fans were not the only ones who benefited from this weekend’s release of . One of the movie’s stars also received a nice bonus for it too.

As part of her agreement deal with HBO, will soon be getting her own series on the pay channel. Interestingly enough, her project comes with two themes her followers are quite familiar with: New York and sex.

In Sensitive Skin, Kim will play a wife and mother who tries to rediscover her sexuality and her place in the world. The show, which is an adaptation of a British series by the same name, will also have Cattrall on board as an executive producer.

This isn’t the first time the actress has done a side project for . In 2005, she hosted a documentary called Kim Cattrall: Sexual Intelligence. I guess you gotta stick to what you know - right?

Sex and the City Cast Visits Oprah

Sex and the City cast, Oprah

As FilmCrunch earlier reported, the ladies of Sex and the City will be making several stops to promote their upcoming movie.  Now we know of one more visit on their lengthy itineraries:  Oprah.

Come this Thursday (May 1), all four ladies - Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon - and will be gabbing with the talk show queen.  That date will, of course, kick off a month filled with appearances for the May 30th premiere.

Will Oprah dare question Cattrall and Parker about the rumored discord between them?  Or will the hour be all about shoes and fashion?  Who cares?  It’s not like I won’t be watching anyway.

‘Sex And The City’ Movie Buzz

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, HBO, Gossip, Rumors

SATCI know that speculation about a Sex And The City movie has been brewing for some time now—but I’ve done my best to ignore all the chatter.  The last time plans were squashed (reportedly thanks to Kim Cattrall’s financial demands), I put all my hopes to rest.  So when the rumors recently started up again, I listened with skepticism.

And while anything could change at the drop of a hat, TVGuide.com is now reporting that production is imminent.  New Line Cinema is apparently in final distribution talks with HBO.  A formal announcement could be made as early as next week with filming to being in mid-September.

I’m ecstatic at the prospect of seeing my beloved ladies once again—but I’m also bit nervous.  Will this show really translate well to the big screen?  (We all know how the film versions of Twin Peaks and The X-Files fared).  Is a made-for-HBO version the better option?

And what about the storylines?  Are we better off pretending that Carrie and Mr. Big live happily-ever-after?  And then there’s Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda.  They were all pretty happy with their respective love lives as well.  If someone has to carry on with the SATC tradition, does that mean that one of these ladies will be off hopping into bed with someone else soon?

Regardless of how it all ends, I will be there on opening night…cosmopolitan in hand.
