Like Simon, Ron was the biggest thing on TV, loved himself and had that whole irresistible middle-aged man thing going on. I could play Simon, but to be honest Simon could play Ron. They are like long-lost twin brothers separated at birth. Simon Cowell and Ron Burgundy are pretty much the same role, apart from Simon being ruder.”

Blake Lively Talks Serena of Gossip Girl

Playing a super wealthy socialite on TV has both pros and cons, says Gossip Girl star Blake Lively.
Lively, who portrays Serena van der Woodsen, admits that when it comes to their closets, the two girls are strikingly similar: “I own half her wardrobe, so it’s far too similar to the way I dress.” Who could turn those clothes away!
On the other hand, Lively points out how crazy it is to portray the character at times: “I feel ridiculous at times with her, because I’m, you know, killing someone or marrying someone, but I look like me. I’m like, ‘Oh, this is absurd.’”
With that, she also added that she tends to feel her characters’ pain so much that it physically harms her. “I feel a lot. I get really bad stomachaches all the time. So I went to a doctor, and he said, ‘You’re a feeler.’ I take on people’s pain a little too much.” While I’m unsure as to whether that’s an act, I can say that it sounds like Lively takes method acting to a whole other level.

Mischa Barton Moves On From Crappy Situation

A little over a month since the CW canceled her show, The Beautiful Life: TBL, Mischa Barton reflects and decides to move on.
“I just don’t think the time was right and that was just a really sh****y situation.” Right, because shows with gorgeous people and major drama don’t fare well on television these days.
The 23 year-old actress, who bumps shoulders with the likes of fashion designer Zac Posen, is keeping her options open when it comes to television or film.
“I’m just figuring out what my next move will be and really looking at a lot of different projects and figuring out what I want to do… These days, television is about just as good as movies… I’m looking forward to being part of something that is right in the future.”
If only she had stripped down for those promo ads—I’ll bet she’s regretting that now.
