Thursday Ratings: FOX and CBS Each Take Half

Incredible spellers or not, the competitors of this year’s National Spelling Bee couldn’t topple the showdown between Sex and Leonid on SYTYCD. The reality program helped FOX win another battle in the demos while CBS was on top with the viewers.

Kavya Shivashankar wins the National Spelling Bee8pm

  • * (9.6 million, 1.9/6 in 18-49) was up 2.2 million from last week.
  • (9.1 million, 3.6/11) had the best demos of the night.
  • Approximately 5.5 million watched Kavya Shivashankar win the Scripps National Spelling Bee (1.5/5) on ABC.
  • * (1.2/4) turned in 3.5 million; * (1.1/4) rounded up 3.1 million.
  • * (1.4 million, 0./2) remained even.

  • * (9.9 million, 2.0/6 in 18-49) had the largest audience of the evening.
  • * (3.2 million, 1.4/4) and another 30 Rock* (3.1 million, 1.4/4) had similar numbers.
  • * (1.4 million, 0.5/1) picked up 100,000.

10pm

  • * (9.7 million, 2.0/6 in 18-49) easily won the hour.
  • * (5.4 million, 1.5/5) was helped by a spelling bee overrun.
  • A block of The Office* (1.6/5) averaged 3.6 million.
