Monday Ratings: Lackluster Finales for Heroes, Chuck
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Action, Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, 24, Dancing With The Stars, Heroes, House, Medium, Ratings
If there ever was a time for fans to come out and support Chuck, it would have been last night. Unfortunately, the numbers for both NBC finales were basically flat from last week. (At least the network has already declared that Heroes will get a return.) Meanwhile, FOX beat out CBS in a tight race for the demos while ABC was in first with the viewers.
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (19.1 million, 4.3/12 in 18-49) stumbled by 1.6 million.
- House (11.4 million, 4.5/12) did 3 million better than the previous Bones episode.
- The Big Bang Theory (3.4/10) had 9.3 million laughing; How I Met Your Mother (3.7/10) rounded up 8.9 million.
- Chuck (6.1 million, 2.3/6) did the same as before.
- Gossip Girl (2 million, 1.0/3) turned away 400,000.

Will $5 Subways Save Chuck?
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Prime Time, NBC
Fans desperate to save an NBC show are putting their mouths to work.
Those interested in bringing Chuck back for a third season are being asked to show their support at their local Subway. Grassroots organizers believe $5 footlong purchases from the franchise (recently featured in an episode) plus comments in their suggestion boxes will send the network a message.
Historically, campaigns like these have ended with mixed results. Peanuts sent to CBS gave Jericho a new, albeit short, lease on life. Tabasco shipments spiced things up for Roswell on the WB. But a blood campaign for Moonlight simply ended in disappointment.
If you plan on doing your part, you better do it quick! Sandwich sales should be made before the finale on Monday.

Monday Ratings: Bones is No House
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, 24, Dancing With The Stars, Heroes, Medium, Ratings
Attempts to give Bones more attention didn’t do much for either the show or the network. Despite decreased competition from CBS, the program pulled in smaller numbers than the normal slot holder. The series also declined from its last Thursday outing.
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (20.7 million, 4.7/12 in 18-49) scooped up 1.2 million.
- Bones (8.4 million, 2.5/7) was down 3.4 million from House‘s numbers.
- The Big Bang Theory* (7.7 million, 2.8/8) gave up 2.4 million; How I Met Your Mother* (6.6 million, 2.7/7) lost 3 million.
- Chuck (6.1 million, 2.3/6) did about the same.
- Gossip Girl (1.2/3) returned to 2.4 million.

Monday Ratings: NBC Actually Improves
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, 24, Dancing With The Stars, Heroes, House, Medium, Ratings
Yes, yes - you heard me right: NBC showed signs of life yesterday. But let’s not get too excited now. It’s not like the network won anything. (The Peacock was still in fourth place.) It just didn’t suck as badly as it has been.
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (19.1 million, 4.4/12 in 1849) stumbled by 500,000.
- House (11.8 million, 4.5/12) was down 1.2 million.
- The Big Bang Theory (10.1 million, 3.8/11) added on 1.2 million; How I Met Your Mother (9.6 million, 4.0/11) picked up 1.1 million.
- Chuck (6.2 million, 2.3/6) was up 200,000.
- Gossip Girl* (0.4/1) sat quietly in back with 990,000.

This Week on TV (4/13-4/19)
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Action, Comedy, Drama, Music, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, ABC, Bravo, Cable, CBS, FOX, MTV, NBC, The CW, 24, Desperate Housewives, Lost, Prison Break, The Office

(You can view TV Envy’s Midseason Programming Schedule here.)
MONDAY 4/13)
- Chuck (NBC, 8pm): “When Chuck’s father is abducted by Fulcrum forces, Chuck attempts to rescue him by putting his faith in a most unlikely person—his double-crossing ex-girlfriend, Jill (Jordana Brewster).” Well, she is fast and furious.
- Dhani Tackles the Globe (Travel, 9pm): “Dhani visits Spain’s Basque region to learn about jai alai, a fast-paced ball game that’s been called “ballet with bullets.” That’s one performance of The Nutcracker I would probably sit out.
- Roommates (ABC Family, 9pm): “Hope’s father makes a surprise visit and tells her to come home because he’s unhappy with her job situation.” Doesn’t he, like, understand how hard it is out there? He’s so lame.
- 24 (FOX, 9pm): “Jack’s daughter returns.” Because the worst day in Daddy’s life just wouldn’t be the same without her.

Monday Ratings: Suburbia Survives the Evening
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, Sports, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, 24, Dancing With The Stars, Heroes, House, Medium, Ratings
Yesterday’s premiere of Surviving Suburbia did well despite NCAA competition. The program had the best numbers for a comedy debut since the opener of Samantha Who? in October 2007. (A Dancing with the Stars lead-in being the common denominator.)
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (19.6 million, 4.5/11 in 18-49) was down by 600,000.
- Approximately 13 million watched the shocker on House (5.0/13).
- The Big Bang Theory* (8.9 million, 3.2/9) gave up 900,000; How I Met Your Mother* (8.5 million, 3.3/9) lost 700,000.
- Chuck (6 million, 2.1/6) picked up 400,000.
- Gossip Girl* (1.1 million, 0.5/1) shrunk by 1.4 million.
