Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, Talk Shows, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, Dancing With The Stars, Heroes, So You Think You Can Dance, Ratings
Could it really get any worse than this? Although the program faced a CBS repeat, The Jay Leno Show did the unthinkable last night: it went down. The talk show went so far down, it hit a season low in the demos. ABC, in the meantime, took advantage of the decreased competition and scored wins in both the viewers and the demos this Monday.
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (3.8/10 in 18-49) averaged 17.4 million over the two hours.
- How I Met Your Mother* (2.6/7) pulled in 7.1 million; Accidentally on Purpose* (2.1/5) nabbed 6 million.
- Heroes (2.5/6) scored 5.9 million.
- A special So You Think You Can Dance (2.6/7) attracted 5.8 million.
- One Tree Hill (2.7 million, 1.3/3) hit season highs.

Hilary Duff Fails to Score for Gossip Girl
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Gossip, Ratings, Video
Despite having Hilary Duff on the roster for a night, Gossip Girl failed to deliver for the CW. The network has been getting low ratings for all its banner shows, a bad sign for the entire fall line-up. GG is one of the shows which helped drag the CW out of obscurity, but now it might be vanishing into the background.
This week’s episode brought in only 2.1 million viewers. This matches low numbers brought in by Melrose Place, the highly-touted and newly-revamped series that premiered just this season. The CW has already pulled the trigger on it’s brand-new The Beautiful Life, which was pulled from the schedule after only two episodes.

NBC needs some help, stat! Yesterday’s series premiere of Trauma did nothing for the Peacock network’s health on Mondays. The medical drama pulled in numbers smaller than last fall’s stinker, My Own Worst Enemy. By night’s end, ABC was on top with the viewers while FOX was 1st in the demos.
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (16.7 million, 3.7/9 in 18-49) slipped by 800,000.
- House (14.4 million, 5.7/15) had the evening’s best demos.
- How I Met Your Mother (8.7 million, 3.6/10) was down 500,000; Accidentally on Purpose (8.1 million, 3.1/8) lost 900,000.
- Heroes (5.8 million, 2.5/6) gave up 200,000.
- One Tree Hill (2.6 million, 1.2/3) added on 100,000.

Monday Ratings: Kanye and Jay are Gold Diggers
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Talk Shows, NBC, The CW, Ratings

Curiosity about Jay Leno‘s new program was already high before this week—but then the VMAs happened, and the Peacock network lucked out.
The debut of NBC’s new 10:00 show was watched by a whopping 17.7 million viewers. That’s nearly double the audience that turned in for Leno’s “goodbye.” (That May finale drew in 11.9 million). The figure bests any number from an NBC series produced last season, including the premiere of Conan O’Brien’s show (9.2 million) in June.

- The Bachelorette (6 million, 2.1/6) was off 2.9 million from last week.
